    Default Making game cases

Does anyone know the best material to print on to make reproduction game cases. I'd like to make some custom cases for my own enjoyment. I'm guessing card stock, but if anyone has better suggestions, I'll take any advice I can get.

That's what I'd use. FYI, the few boxes that I just measured (SNES, N64, GBA) are about 20mil stock.

Hmm. . . Looks like the thickest paper at office depot is 11.3 mil. Since it's just for me I bet I can make it work. If nothing else, I could always print on one and spray adhesive two sheets together for the thickness. I'll probably post some pics when I have one made. I've been needing a side project to keep me busy for a while now.

You could try poster board as well. I don't know the actual specs, but it feels about the same thickness as the game boxes do. Plus it's dirt cheap

    Thanks!

I've sorta been making a TON of cases lately, so I've had the pleasure of molesting the hell out of about 10 different paper weights and varieties.

Yup! I've been sort of a Cover Project junkie for the last few months. Started off casing a few Saturn games that were loose, and then before I knew it I was casing SNES, GBA, N64, Neo Geo Pocket, Wonderswan, etc and I just started casing the actual portable systems themselves (they're the all white cases with the little corresponding system pic at the bottom of the spine). It's become a serious addiction of mine
