    Default Free 56k modem

I just pulled this out of my old windows 95 computer that has been in storage for years. I don't want to throw it away if someone could use it. Just pay shipping and its yours. It's a Rockwell modem I believe. If anyone wants it, let me know.

They can be used to hook up a Dreamcast via netsharing for online gaming

I regularly inherit old PC's that people just are going to toss and salvage what I can out of them. I have so many 56K modems, NIC's and PC100/133 SDRAM that I have no idea what to do with it all. I hate to throw it all away, but at the same time, most of it is so obsolete that it isn't even worth the price to ship it.

Scrap lots on eBay. Sell your RAM in a lot, cut the gold contacts off from inexpensive cards and sell those in a lot, sell the remaining circuit boards in a lot, and take your cases to a local scrap yard. That's what I do. You can also sell the cards without removing the contacts but you won't get as much.

Whats the point of selling the cards with the contacts cut off?

Also i use to turn old memory chips into key chains but they don't seem to be putting the punch wholes on many of the sticks anymore.

Separates the gold from the rest of the board. Someone who removes gold plating doesn't want to deal with a huge card.
