Default Prince of Persia Series (SoT, WW, TT): GameCube or PS2?

Now that they're dirt cheap, I'm interested in picking up all those Prince of Persia games that came out a few years ago (Sands of Time, Warrior Within, Two Thrones). However I have a choice to make, do I want the PS2 or GC versions? Normally I go for the PS2 version of a game because the controller is nicer than the GC one, but in this case I want the version that plays the best. Which version is better? I think I read somewhere that the GC version had some bugs worked out because it came out later, but I'm not sure if that applies to all the games in the series or just the first one.

I played all 3 of them on the original Xbox and never really experienced any issues, but I can see why you would leave those out since they can't run on the 360. There is also the HD remake which came out for the PS3 as well, it'll probably start to drop in price pretty soon.

I have an original Xbox. Is that version the best?

Default Prince of Persia Series (SoT, WW, TT): GameCube or PS2?

To me the Gamecube may load a little faster. IMO they're all pretty much the same meaing Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube. Walmart by me has the PS3 Trilogy for $20.

The xbox version has some graphical enhancements that the other versions didn't have. The prince had individual fingers and some other minor improvements.

The gamecube and ps2 versions were very similar graphically. The gamecube because of the smaller disc size had its music and cutscenes compressed unlike the ps2 version, but looked and sounded great regardless.

I have all 3 of the gamecube games and they play great. I remember reading something about the PS2 version (the first one) that made me decide to go with the gamecube games instead.

If choosing between the PS2 and Gamecube versions I'd go with the PS2 one just because I prefer that controller over the Gamecube's.

When choosing between a cross-platform game from that generation I always picked Gamecube (I have all 3 games for the GC and think they're excellent). If I were to buy them today though, I'd just get the HD re-release.

FYI: there is a game-ending glitch in Sands of Time (I don't remember the exact details...just google "observatory glitch"). Save often.

I've found the Gamecube one to be fine for platformers and adventures to be honest. I'd be more worried about the compressed sound. If I remember correctly, the Gamecube version does have compression artifacts in the prince's voice.
