I don't know about value but I believe that gun is even rarer than the pink Konami gun. There weren't really too many light guns made for the Genesis, I'm not sure what else it could be.

I went out for yard sales earlier but didn't find anything. At one sale there was a Game Gear with games but nothing looked interesting so I didn't bother asking a price. At another place that advertised a sale nothing was set up outside at all, this was at around 10:30am so I'm not sure what their deal was. Maybe everything was inside but I didn't feel like stopping to ask. Not much else as it looked like it would rain, though I don't think it did. I just went back home and stayed in all afternoon.
Oh wow, I completely forgot about that one. Easiest way to tell would be to check the connector. Orange/pink Konami used the RJ11 and that beauty used DB9.

@The 1 2 P - One of the places I go to when I'm visiting family does that. They're like "well this has several discs so you pay more" and I just give them this blank stare. The 80 year-old cashier doesn't even know what it is but because it has more than one disc, it's automatically worth more money. Thrift store logic.

I rarely buy multidisc games because of this.

This was a good deal. I just sold a GameCube Broadband Adapter for $40 on eBay.

Here are a couple pictures of the orange gun that I picked up. As you can see, there are no manufacturer's markings. It has the DB9 as opposed to the RJ45. The paper on it is leftover from a GameStop price sticker calling it a pink Justifier.

The Ayumi Hamasaki picture book was sitting on a table in front of the cd racks but I couldn't find any cds of her's there. Actually, I just kind of guessed it belonged to a cd because I didn't know she was a singer. Theres nothing in the book that suggest it because it just shows her at various photo shoots. But the name seemed familiar. But I couldn't find any cds of hers with the title of that book during my online search so I still have no idea where it came from.
It came packed with her 2006 cd titled: (miss)understood. I thought I had this photobook, but mine is 'On My Way' which came with the CD/DVD combo version of the same album.

Also, cool finds on the Master of the Universe books. I swear I had the one with the snake and He-Man when I was a kid..

Thank you. I had looked thru tons of her merchandise and even discovered that she has her own PS2 game but I couldn't find anything on where that book came from. Now I'm going to try and grab a copy of that cd.

The Goodwills around me are pretty easy to deal with when it comes to this. I just explain that it's one game and you need all of the discs to play it. The worst thing that happens is that they call for the manager and ask. They seem to "get" it.

Around here they have already been charging more for dvd seasons because of this. I mean, I don't mind a flat $5 or $10 for a used dvd season set. Thats usually how it works but some places already use the "per disc" policy for dvds. One Goodwill had the Daria complete season dvd set but it wasn't marked. I asked them how much they were going to charge and they said $24. When I asked why she told me that they charge $3 per dvd and since it had 8 disc it came up to $24. I told her I'd pass and just walked off. And I'm hoping that they don't start doing that to video games the next time I find a copy of Final Fantasy 8 or Legend of Dragoon because that would make them $12 each instead of the usual $3 or $4.

Yeah well, Mexican flea market sellers are fucking assholes. They don't care, they just want more money.

    Assholes.

I HATE MEXICANS. And yes I hate myself too. Ha.

I bought an Ace Combat 6 flight stick, one of the hat buttons sticks and the guide button is missing, but I only paid $10 for it, so hopefully I can triple that out of it for parts.

I very rarely post on here, as I am not an active collector anymore but....

...I was at value village and picked up a cart only copy Rescue Ranger 2 for the NES. 5 bucks, the label has a little tear on the front but still I knew that was a good pickup.

It is gonna be up for sale soon

That looks like the correct one, mine is just like that and uses a DB9 connector, not the RJ11 one. I've never seen a orange Justifer with an RJ11 plug, I can't imagine American Laser Games would do that since they sold this direct, and they'd have no reason to sell only the 2nd player gun.

There are orange guns like this that were also used for the 3DO, but they are wired differently I believe so it wouldn't work with the Genesis. The fact that they were bundled together in this find means you probably have the real deal. I feel bad for whoever had it before though, because the only way you can do 2 players is with the pink gun that has the RJ11 jack.

Welp, not much today... I wasn't going to make a post but I felt two of the items were oddball enough to merit one.

The Best of Charles Brown - $1
Disney's Newsies Soundtrack - $1 (what the hell is this?)
Jimmy Durante & Bing Crosby - "Star Off Every Day With A Song" (new) - $1

And the crown jewel, the pick of the litter, the best thing I've ever seen:

    Don Johnson - Heart Beat - $1

I mean seriously look at that! I stumbled upon a Laserdisc of a music video from this album like a year ago and thought to myself, "If I ever see this on CD, I'm buying it!" I didn't even think it was released on CD but look. There it is.

The other wacky thing I picked up was a movie called "Sensitive Johnson". It's a comedy about a guy who suffers from premature ejaculation issues and stuff. It's on a DVD-R, and it has the soundtrack, on CD-R too. It stars a guy called "Chris Valenti", here's his website. Apparently this movie was entirely self-released by the guy, so I figured, why not. The entire movie is up on Youtube, and he seems to be a decent comedian. He CAN sing, too. A pretty cool find, too bad the artwork is super faded.

Edit: Oh yeah, this was also taken with my brand new camera! My sister bought this for me. Last Black Friday. She barely sent it to me. Sheesh. :P It can also take really awesome videos so I may end up doing some about my collection in the future.

What the hell is Newsies? It's a musical! One that is based in New York circa 1880's and all the crazy newspaper wars that were happening then and what Pulitzer and Hearst were doing to get stories and how they ran the place. I don't know if the Broadway show came first, but there is one as well.

I've still got the cassette around somewhere. I loved it when I was little.

Pulitzer may crack the whip but he don't own us!

Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

Ah, Newsies. The film that nearly everyone had to sit through at least once in their middle school days.

My lone thrift find yesterday: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 for the GBA for $1.99.

Coincidentally, it turns out that yesterday marked the 11th anniversary of the US release of the GBA... which I wasn't aware of until I got home and wound up reading about it.
