I've got two of the Gamecube-style replacements, but would prefer something closer to the original N64 style. These are responsive and don't wear, but the plastic feels really light and rotation movements do not register. Are there higher-quality replacements?

I just bought some from eBay and they seem to be exactly like the originals.

Just ordered some OEM-style sticks from this seller. I'll be testing them out when I get them. Hopefully will be able to play Super Smash Bros. and the Zelda games properly.

May as well ask this here.

I recently stumbled on a lodgenet hotel N64 controller. The stick on this thing is better than sex.

Does anyone make a similar stick, or do I have to take this controller apart and out it into a normal shell to use it?

Just installed the OEM-style stick. Holy crap, what a difference. This is so many times better than the Gamecube-style one. I'm not sure if it's as accurate as a brand-new N64 analog stick from 1996, but it's probably the best replacement there is right now.
