    Default RUSH Hour!

For those who missed the annoucement, you can find it in this topic.

I'm psyched about this one - moreso than Entity really. I've been jonesing for some Change Lanes-style action.

Any idea what kinda price point the CGE releases for this year will come in at guys? I gotta budget.

I played it last year and I'm currently hold the world record for the top score.

Of the three games, Looping is by far my favorite. It seems very complete, the controls are responsive, the graphics are really nice, and it's TOUGH. All the things I look for in a 2600 game.

Rush Hour is fun but repetitive. I'm not sure how complete the game is. It may be totally done - a lot of code was spent with the various sprites, turbo speed, lasers, and sound. Hey, any game that features a car that I can shoot other cars with and that rewards me for going as fast as I can is OK in my book.

On this Rush Hour. Would you happpen to know how close the box art is to the original. I'm hoping they didn't make an exact replica of the prototype box since there is atleast 1 collector out there who paid a pretty penny for an original.

You know, I was thinking that myself. I'll have to check with Sean but I'm certain you'll be able to tell the difference. Since John and Sean own the rights to CommaVid they have license to add something like "distributed by CGE Services" on the box. But I'll double-check.

On the manuals that I put together for the three new games, John asked me to add "Released at Classic Gaming Expo 2003 August 9 & 10 - Las Vegas". I would assume that the same wording would appear on the back of the boxes.

Uhm, those are reproductions, not homebrews.

    Homebrews are much better!

Welllllllll, it depends on the homebrew being "critiqued," according to threads I've read elsewhere.

But, ya gotta admit, there have been a lot of repros/protos surfacing recently that have been surprisingly polished (after a bit of digital "sprucing up" of the code). New stuff being programmed and old stuff that never saw the light of day. 'Tis a good time to be a 2600 fan indeed.

Oh, you mean those repros/protos where homebrewers have been involved? Yes, those are great too!
