Default DP Video Game Maker Challenge! Part 1 "The Pitch"

Alright in an attempt to try and create a fun experience for all of us users to be involved in I am always trying to come up with ideas for games we can do on the forums. I created the high score challenge which did meh.
So I am back with a new idea

The Digital Press Video Game Maker Challenge.
Gonna be hopefully broken up into sections meeting the field of people with different talents. The next one will have something to do with art so all the artists who want in on this better start warming up those pencil's/pens/tablets.
Now onto the game at hand

    PART 1: "The Pitch"

Challenge: The idea is to come up with a video game to end all video games or at least in your mind. Ya know that one big idea you have that you would love to see happen. It could be any kinda game. RPG, Action, FPS, Adventure, Puzzle, Sports, Platform, side scroller, over head scroller, anything.
What I want you to do is to treat your fellow board members like as if they were the CEO's of this video game company you work for and you were going to pitch this super great idea.

Basically tell a tale about your game or describe it. Try to wrap us into it and wanna play it right now! Make the description as detailed as much as you want and have fun with it

Gonna give you guys a month to do this challenge. Then come august 20th gonna make a separate post as a voting page in which allow everyone to vote for their favorite video game pitch idea.

Like I said Part 2 will have something for the artists on here to do so dust off the art supplies.

This is a game for Sega collectors.

Basically, it is similar to Super Smash Bros, only instead of selecting from a screen with all of the characters in the game, the player places a game from the Sega console library into a special USB device that has various cartridge slots and a GD-ROM drive. When you put a game in, the screen shows a list of the playable characters from the game you put in, then you can select a character from that list. Kind of like Skylanders. Rarer games would have much stronger characters, while the more common games would have the weaker ones.

In the game itself you play as a 3D version of the character you choose. They have all the moves from the games they came from, and the strength of the moves depends on the rarity of their game. You can have a one character per person match, or you can play in the special Collector vs Collector mode. In this mode, players put in as many games as they want to, and when one of their characters are beaten, it automatically switches to the next one in the list. If you are a collector with a lot of games, then you will have the advantage over the other player.

This game promotes retro game collecting, but with all the characters you have to wonder what the character licensing would cost. It would also require a lot of programming. It also includes a Sega emulator so you can play all your games from SG-1000 to Pico Beena.

It would be available for all current gen consoles. It comes with the USB device that is also compatible with computers. Bootlegs, homebrews and flash carts do not work, because they still make homebrews which would requires many character updates and divert attention away from any bugs. Using a bootleg or flash cart is pretty much cheating.

    Also, this game is AWESOME.

Demolitions Expert: Great cross-platform game where you play the role of a demolition expert imploding structures. From bridges to casinos, this one has it all! The game is part explosions, part physics puzzler, as you must correctly set charges at various key points throughout the buildings. Too much explosive and the part will explode instead of imploding; too little and the part won't implode at all. You have a limited amount of explosive material per stage, so you must place your charges wisely!

There are actually a couple of games like this! Although sadly I only know of two and they are both Japan-only. One of them is for Wiiware and I can't remember the title, the other is Bomber Hehe for the Dreamcast. Your idea is still rad and I"d love to play it, just letting you know in case you were really wanting that kind of gameplay (and I can't blame you, it's fun).

Thanks! This idea for a game is one of many I had been having for a long time. The thing I like about it is that it can be scaled or changed with ease to work on any platform - buttons, touchscreen, etc. - and graphics can be whatever the platform is capable of. And while similar to Bomber Hehe! for the Dreamcast (which I've known of for many years), unlike that game my game would give you n pounds of explosives which you'd have to place not just in the right places, but in the right amount, without using more than your total allocated amount. More bonus points for using less.
