    Default Request: Hagane Manual Scan

    Hello everybody,

Close this thread if this kind of topic is taboo, but this seemed to be the best place to make a request. I know there are plenty of CIB collectors in this forum, so I'm just hoping one of them can help me out on this.

I am currently working on a speedrun for the SNES title Hagane. I've made some good progress with it etc, but the in-game content is extremely lacking in details about anything related to the story, and the rest of the menus were only minimally translated. I'd like to talk about what's actually happening in the game's plot while I'm streaming attempts, or at least know correct names for minibosses or moves. I believe the manual has some of that information in it, so I'm interested in reading through it. I am not a CIB collector myself, so I can't really justify the $200 price tag on the actual manual, but I'm hoping that a couple of the collectors that already have one in hand can help me out with scans or pictures of the pages. Again, I apologize if this kind of request is not allowed, but it seemed reasonable enough to ask.

    Thanks,
    ~Omnigamer

videogameden.com has a scan of the Japanese manual, at the least. Maybe if you have questions about that.

At least according to the Japanese manual (which has boss names printed in English writing):
It looks the first boss is a clone Hagane (the player)
    Second: Rasetsu
    Third: Jaseiju
    Fourth: Jusodama
    Fifth: Shuraoh

The weapons, I think, are translated as:
    Seiryuu (katana)
    Suzaku (shuriken)
    Genbu (chain)
    Byakko (energy charge)
(all of the names are mythical Japanese monsters)

The names you're citing are actually just the names for the characters shown in the pictures. The first boss is Mushi-Mukuro and the second is En-Mikoshi, according to in-game text from the US version. The name for Rasetsu and the weapons are all new to me though, thanks for those
