Default Sierra PC Adventure Games - King's Quest, Quest for Glory, Space Quest, etc

Found the following today, all in box and all appear to be complete:

    Space Quest (3.5)
    King's Quest V (3.5)
    King's Quest VI (3.5)
King's Quest VII Version 2.0 (Win 95 CD)
    Quest For Glory 1 (3.5)
    Quest For Glory 3 (3.5)
    Dagger of Amon Ra (3.5)
    Shivers (CD)

I'm not a PC collector, so I have no interest in keeping these. Thought I'd let them go to raise some funds for CGE or possibly take them to CGE and sell them there. Are there any gems in the lot?

None of them are particularly rare and unfortunately with Sierra stuff, you have to be very careful of what's called "Slash" repacks or rereleases. It's sometimes hard to tell on non-sealed copies (sealed copies generally have a yellow sticker that says value priced merchandise or no technical support available), but if you have poorly copied manuals, flimsy boxes, CD or disc labels that look very generic or monochrome, they are probably Slashes. Sierra licensed out to Slash in the mid-90s and they basically duplicated Sierra's materials as cheaply as possible. Assuming they are complete and original Sierra releases, you might have $150-$175 there. If they are primarily Slashes, maybe $10 each.

Plus the fact that all of the games have been re-released in collection packs.

Eh, there's still a market for complete in box copies. Not a big one like it used to, but it's still there.

Thanks for the info. I'd be pleased with $10 a piece, so I guess I did good!

Test the disks to make sure they still work. I had one Sierra game where the first disk was faulty so I couldn't install anything.

Yeah vintage Sierra is very niche nowadays. I would go for a full Sierra set myself, but value is weak and I'd rather just collect Nintendo stuff. No denying that they are quality games, they just won't sell for lucrative amounts. I would think that Quest for Glory may be the most expensive of that group. GL with the sales.

I would like to say I did sell a copy of "King's Quest: The Princeless Bride" on CD, complete "big box" for $15 shipped. I paid $1 so it was a fair lick.
