Default Post your discoveries for homebrew\repro quality games...

thought id share my discoveries for those of you that didnt know about these... if you know of quality homebrew games, feel free to post them!

Watermelon are currently making 2 games for Snes and Genesis, and their first release Pier Solar is (at least for me!) nothing less than the best RPG for genesis (ok maybe Phantasy star 4 is better!). A true masterpiece in my collection and you can still order the game. I Already pre ordered on project Y so I can get the awesome investors edition (the pier solar one goes for +300$ on ebay, very limited and best packaging ever!)

I just found out about this RPG called Mysterious Song for turbografx cd\turboduo, and would like a review from someone who bought it. it looks interesting... http://www.frozenutopia.com/

Cool unreleased (in america) and fan translation sega genesis repros by the Nolan Bros. I love that Nhl 2012 game!

Some awesome looking repros and homebrews by Time Walk games, especially that sweet home Nes cart with box and manual and Terranigma for snes that I will be picking up soon!
Their packaging is top notch, but some of the games they make are really bad (castlevania blood moon and some others...)

I heard a lot of mixed reviews from the super fighter team releases, but I never played one. What did you guys think of their games?
Sadly they produce very small batches of games (why not make more?!?) and currently cannot order a game from them.

So these are the best I know of, do you guys know some others? And please dont post about crappy hangman\ tic tac toe games lol

Not to Hijack the thread, but if you're looking for a comprehensive list for homebrews/reproduction carts, Gwyndion over at NintendoAge has compiled a good list (of makers, and which sites to purchase them):

    Good link I recommend following.

I nominated to that list a small fry by the nick of DxS that's on NA. He so far does Gameboy Advance repros and the quality is downright amazing. He uses original boards, original parts, and even replaces the battery on the existing board with a high quality one. He gets his parts overseas in bulk and the board itself has the sram on it, a cheapo battery(he replaces) and the storage rom for the game. The board itself has more pins coming from there to the pins for the game so it has this multi-plexor chip under a gloptop that routes the signal. For the shell he uses a repurposed real GBA game shell and then has a label printed up. He also doesn't like the gouging going on with repros too, so it's not your usual $35-50 bullshit, they're $25/ea unless the parts cost a little more and then it could be $30 instead and that's shipped.

His best work so far which I own and can attest to its solid workmanship is Dragon Quest Monsters Caravan Heart(DQM3.) I highly recommend it as this isn't some chop shop hack job with soldered wires and spare chips floating around wasting a legit game to do it so it lasts.
