Default Pioneer LaserActive missing CD plate

I recently obtained a LaserActive unit and, although it works fine, when I press the CD eject, the entire LD tray ejects. I thought it was just some alignment/adjustment issue cause by shipping, but upon opening the unit I discovered that there is a missing piece: the CD plate. From what I've read, this piece slides from side to side to select whether to eject the CD tray or LD tray. I also read somewhere that the part number for the CD plate is VNL1685. Can anyone confirm this? I've posted pictures so you can see what I'm talking about. I'd also like to know if that is the only part that's missing. Click image for larger version.

You're in luck, I acquired one of these units earlier this month. Mine ejects CD/LD properly based on button selection so I'll crack mine open to see what it says.

Mine though doesn't play back Mega LD games properly. No background video and the HUD is heavily corrupted. Does yours play Laserdiscs properly?
I fix things. You name it, I'll work on it. Want something modded? Recapped?

I can play LaserDisc movies just fine. I don't have any Mega LD games to try.

You can find a replacement pretty easily from another LD player from Pioneer around the same time. A lot of them shared the exact same tray mechanism. I'm sure I've got an extra of the part you're looking for, but I just moved so everything is a mess at the moment. Shoot me a PM in about a week and I'll dig one out for you.
