I don't own these cables but have compared Wii component cables with Gamecube composite and S-video cables. In my testing there's a clear improvement over composite cables, but there isn't quite the dramatic bump from s-video to component depending upon the game.

You are right I'm considering selling mine. I have absolutely no need for it.
