I just found one of these things. Just an old box with what might be Japanese and English text on the side. No PSU or docs. From what I can find out there're Q and Q+ units. This one doesn't have a Q or Q+ on it. So.. Does anyone have one? What kind of PSU does it need? Any docs you could share with me?

Does it look like a famicom clone? I'm curious. there are sooo many pirate clones out there.

A cart plugs into the top, and it in turn plugs in to the SNES.

That's about all I can find out about how to use it hehhe

9V 800mA appearantly - at least that what the Q used and It seems to work for me. I could be wrong - the drive doesn't seem to work. As soon as I find a screwdriver long enough to open it up, I'll see if there's anything I can do to fix it.

The Floppy wasn't even connected. The power cord was still there, but whoever had it before me must have been desparate for the cable cause its not there. Oh well.

The drive seems to be a standard 3.5" drive made by Alps Electric. But I can't get it to work. Seems to react like a PC when the floppy cable is reverse - i.e. the drive light stays on. If the cable is the correct way, nothing happens. The unit claims no disk is present without seeking the drive.

Kinda tired now. But tomorrow I'll try pulling a standard floppy out and trying its luck.

this is no standard pc floppy drive,this one needs +5v only,not 12v.
you can connect any dc power supply in the range of 6-12V to the pro fighter,it has a voltage regulator inside.
maybe your drive is broken,i cant tell you where to get a new one.

Hi there,

it's just a long time ago since this tread was populated, but I have an urgent question to the SPF-owners. I just got one by myself, opened it and had to see, that there were some electronical components broken. Some of them are still in place so that I could easily solder a new one there, but one is missing: one of the three transistors. Could anybody send me a picture of the (working) board and the type of the transistor? The two left on the board are 2F, so I would need the third one.

I would be very happy if I could get the SPF running.

Maybe I can help you to repair it, just send me a hires picture of the opened unit showing all the components.
Higher res. more easy to tell you the problem.
