Any hope for a Busted Saturn ?

Ive got a broken sega Saturn that freezes on the bios screen (the bootup screen with the logo). It almost allways freezes when its playing the "smashed pieces rejoin to make saturn logo" animation (PAL console, the US bios may be different, i dont know). The sound repeats the same 2 seconds it was upto when it froze.
It only happens when there is a game in, but i know the games are fine because i play them on my other saturn. I does on rare occasions get further, as well as when i push start to skip the animation, but it still freezes on either the next black screen or the saturn logo screen.

Does anybody know how to fix this ?, or what part of the saturn causes it ? Maybe i can still use it for parts.

I'd wonder about the power supply, it's heat shield, and if it had the switched region mod done to it. The switched region mod, if it develops a short, can cause freezing, though usually not so quickly. The Saturn can lock uo when it overheats.

That would be my first guess.
