Default Sega CD Systems for sale (Model 1)

    Hey guys,

so I tinkered some more and finally decided what I'm keeping out of those Sega CD systems I bought to repair. (The one whose exploded capacitors I repaired and board I rebuilt isn't up on the block because I don't trust it), but all of the others here are for sale.

I have 2 model 1s None of these systems includes power adapters because I didn't get any with them myself. They've all been repaired and tested with 2 different games (for reference, I used Samurai Shodown and Jaguar XJ220).

All of the systems are sold As-Is due to the VERY finicky nature of the system, especially in shipping transit.

All of the model 1s have had new drive belts installed so the tray and motor lift function properly. Some of the systems' trays eject more slowly than before, but there seems to be no physical issue that I can trace (no noises or abnormalities) and they have not failed to load a game

I'm asking $25 for the model 1 systems, plus shipping costs. I accept payment by Paypal. Send me a PM if interested, and first-come, first-served. I will answer as quickly as I can.Click image for larger version.

Very good price but as I have had no experience with Sega CDs the fuse issues kind of worry me. Do you have a sega cd without these issues? And if it comes to it I can pay extra for a return policy such as if a sega cd comes DOA I can send it back.

Updated with one sold Model 1 and to clarify the type of repair done.

(Only the Model 2s now have fuse replacement)

    Thanks!

I got a lot of joy out of repairing them but I really only bought them so I could fix mine. Turned out, I fixed all of them. Now they're taking up space. It wouldn't be fair of me to charge any more than this since they don't have power adapters.

(I also figured it wouldn't be good to sell the one that I got that someone plugged an NES adapter into and blew the traces and capacitors clean off one section of the board, that I had to wire by hand with solder and single strands of copper wire. I'm kind of proud of it even if the repair is a bit ugly by professional standards. )
