Default "THRIFTIN' " Retro-Rummy Card Game to premiere at

"THRIFTIN' - The Rummagin' Retro-Rummy Card Game" is a new pocket card game by Sniderman that captures the thrill of rummaging around in thrift stores and flea markets in search of those retrogaming goodies! Try to complete videogame collections from the miscellaneous consoles, joysticks, boxes, and carts you find in the deck.

However, your opponents are trying to complete the same systems, so watch out for their treachery! Beware of SUMGUY who might get to a good score before you! Or call on the powers of BIRA BIRA to guide you to those awesome legendary finds! Will the stores be CLOSED before you arrive, or will you luck out and find a RED TAG SALE underway? The game comes complete with 54-card deck and instructions!

To make it portable, I've designed THRIFTIN' to come in it's own Atari 2600 cart case as shown above. Pop the seal, and the hinged lid opens to reveal the game deck! The game box fits right there amongst your 2600 collection!

Finally, at CGE only, I've hidden a random number of GOLD TAGS throughout the decks. If you find one, redeem it for an actual piece of retrogaming goodness actually found at a thrift store! Good stuff or junk? You won't know until you go THRIFTIN'!

THRIFTIN' will be available at the Digital Press booth. Price yet to be determined.

Well, I got plenty of these left over, so I'm throwing the offer open to the boards. If you'd like one, $10 will get you one (shipping included!). PM me if interested. I accept Paypal or we can do a smailmail payment thingy.

Hmmm...is there still a possibility of winning some stuff if we find a marked deck or where all those sold or taken out?

And, the sell-off begins. $10 per deck and I'll foot the shipping, regardless of how many decks you pickup.

Thriftin' - The Rummagin' Retro-Rummy Card Game, only $10 at eBay!

And the Gold Tags were only for CGE - sorry.

Just BINed one. I should've picked one up at CGE but unfortunately my signifigant other was controlling my funds (otherwise I would' been broke on day 2 instead of day 4 of the trip)

    Thanks!

Found one, didja? Well, I don't remember what the numbers were (and I gave away all the items after the show closed Sunday so I wouldn't have to lug 'em back home), but here's what I remember:

    Pac-man mechanical bank
    Pac-man drinking glass
Pac-man embossed picture disc album in sleeve
    Simple little Donkey Kong toy
    The Last Starfighter on VHS
    A set of Sears-released Atari 2600 carts (8 or 10 of 'em I think - some rare)
How to Win at Nintendo Games paperback book
    uh.....that's all I can remember off-hand....

Hey! Thanks for the input! Hadn't heard any game-playin' reports yet, so it's nice to see that my many hours of play-test came in handy.

    OK gang,

I have about 20 of these left right now. However, I could *really* use the cart cases they come in for a Christmas project. So, here's the deal. For this weekend only, these are going for $7.00, which includes shipping.

    OR

I'll sell you a copy of Thriftin' for$5.00 with the purchase of any one my custom-made videogame clocks (which are currently only $10 for DP members)! Christmas presents for the gamer all over the place, and you'll help me either make room for more stuff or decide to abandon what's left and start gutting the cases! Move now gang, because I'm tired of having these around and when they're gone, they're gone. Thanks again!

And there won't be future runs, I promise.
