Default Where to buy Sega Saturn Box Protecters?

I'm aware of videogameboxprotectors.com, but that guy charges too much money at about a dollar per case for a little piece of plastic.. I'm certainly not supporting paying a dollar per case.

Anyone know of any alternatives? Any way I could perhaps do this myself or get them at a cheaper price?

    Thanks!

Perhaps I am being cheap, but when I have 1,000+ games that I want to protect, "only" a dollar quickly adds up.. We'll, didn't know I'd get bashed. Thanks anyway

If you buy in bulk you'll likely get a better price, but still expect to pay a few hundred dollars.

If you could find a place to buy bulk of large rectangular plastic sheets and cut them yourself, you could probably save a lot of money. The challenge is just learning to measure them right and bend them correctly so they don't break.

I'm a collector, but only to a certain extent.
Not as extreme as Rickstilwell though.[/quote]

You have 1000 sealed Saturn games? Otherwise, buying box protectors is a waste of money IMHO. They won't prevent stress cracking any better than a regular poly bag like people use on PSX and other jewel case games. You can buy 100 comic size poly bags for under $10 and just creatively use some tape to take up the excess. You can also buy bubble wrap pouches for relatively cheap. The only games I really buy box protectors for are cardboard boxed and only if they're sealed or really fragile. Otherwise, I think box protectors are a waste of money.

1000?! Weren't there only like 500 US releases? Are you trying to display them all? If not, put em in poly bags and box em up.

Like others have said, if you really want to protect your investment, then $1 per protector isn't at all a bad price. Unless you've got 1000 copies of NBA Live '97, then you can probably my just sell a handful of titles to help soften the blow. At $1 per, the guy probably isn't making much at all on those things. I'm actually surprised they're not more than that.

edit: looking at that site, he gives significant discounts for buying in bulk. It's $20 for 25 cases and the home page mentions larger discounts for 250+ orders. Maybe get a quote before searching elsewhere.

I have to say when I read the title I thought of putting the Saturn box in an even bigger box with peanuts in it, I dont know why that made me laugh.

If he can afford 1000 Saturn games then he can afford 1000 saturn cases
