Default Any consoles you never got to play or own

What are some consoles you never got to play or own but always wished you had.

For me it's the sega saturn and neo geo. I never got to play either system before not even at a friends etc.

I plan to get a sega saturn in the near future but a neo geo probably won't happen till the future. They are expensive and starting a neo geo collection would jeopardize me being able to start with next gen on release. I don't count WiiU as next gen.

The first game I plan to get when I get a sega saturn is nights into dreams and all the sonic games.

I still need to work on rebuilding my sega genesis collection which I'm starting from scratch since selling all my games as kid.

I have a long way to go to rebuilding my collection and in the mean time I cut back on my modern gaming expenses to help fund some retro gaming.

A ton of them. Historically, I would have killed to play a Neo with King of Fighters at home around 1998. The 3do, CD-I, and Jaguar were equally mysterious in the late 90s. Later on I learned about the Sega Master System, Turbo Grafx 16, and others. I kept my eyes peeled for years in pawn shops, and at yard sales, but no luck.

In more recent times I'd like to try out an Amiga CD32 or FM Towns Marty to appreciate the historical significance of both systems.

I'd also love to be able to get my hands on a Famicom Disk System and play through a couple of famous games like Zelda or Metroid in their "real" forms.

Haha, this is probably overkill of a list, but from what I don't own...

    1) A PC-Engine Duo, most frustratingly.
    2) A NeoGeo AES or CD
    3) A 64DD
    4) A 3DO
    5) A Jaguar or Jaguar CD
    6) A Phillips CD-i
    7) A Master System/Mark III (although I could just get a Power Base Converter for my Genesis...)
    8) A Terebikko
    9) A FM Towns Marty
    10) A Capcom CPS Changer
    11) A Colecovision
    12) An Intellivison
    13) An Odyssey I/II
    14) A Color TV Game
    15) Any consolized arcade boards.

Neo Geo for me although 6 years back I did play it for about 5 minutes at an e-friend's place.

Would have liked to explore its library more, though. Would have REALLY liked to explore its library back in the '90s when I was a wide-eyed kid for the "full effect," though

Never touched or played a Vectrex in my life. I'd love to after just watching other collectors on youtube who have one.

I've touched a lot of things, even weird stuff like the NeoCD, CDi(owned it), Turbo Duo(owned it too), as did I with the Fairchild Channel F2 system, but one I always wanted and still even today have never laid a hand on since the price is still bullshit on it is the original Neo-Geo home console and only got my fix for it on arcade cabinets all over. The 64DD I did for a little while but then I realized there really wasn't anything I missed out there on it other than I suppose if it was fun that Sim City title and Doshin the Giant.

There are plenty that I've never played or owned, but honestly none that I really care about too much. And honestly, they're reall only the oldest or most obscure. I've played every Atari console, and I don't care for em, and anything else is just oddball stuff like the playdia, or pippen, or CPS charger (I can play those games on pretty much any console, no need for a über pricey JP only console for me). None of them have enough (or any) good games to warrant my interest other than having them on my shelf as cool collectibles.

On a related note, the few Saturn Sonic games blow. I wouldn't worry about them too much. Save your pennies for stuff like Guardian Heroes, Dragon Force, or the two non-RPG Panzer Dragoon titles.

Every system I have, once I got it was my first time seeing one besides a NES. My most anticipated was the Neo Geo AES and vectrex. Out of everything I got this year, I haven't played the Vectrex yet and the Nintendo 64 is my least favorite.

Neo Geo and Pc Engine duo r. I said Pc Engine Duo R instead Torbo Duo because of Pc Engine Duo R doesn't have the durability issues as the turbo duo.

There are still a good amount of systems that I don't have, but I don't have desire to get such as Colecovison. My issue with Colecovision is the fact it has a very bad reputation for in terms of reliability.

I've never played or seen one in action either. I actually had an opportunity to buy one for the store I worked at, but I told the customer that he'd get far more for it online, and I haven't come across one since.

Of all the things that I have collected over the years, I have never got my hands on a Neo Geo CD. I own a NGP, AES, MVS, and even the new NGX, but passed on several NEO GEO CD units. I had an opportunity to buy one at SRGE, but the unit was untested so I passed. One of these days I will get one just to add to the collection. Maybe sometime in the next couple of years.

    Super Nintendo

I got an NES in 1989, along with it I got a subscription to Nintendo Power. The build-up hype to SNES's launch was one of the more exciting of my life. But my mom didn't like Video Games, and felt my NES was enough. So I spent many a dark year pining for a SNES, but never got one. I wouldn't get a new video game system until 1996 and the launch of the Nintendo 64.

I haven't played a lot of the extremely rare ones, but some of the more common systems I've never touched are:

    Jaguar
    Jaguar CD
    TurboGrafx CD
    3D0
    Sega CD
    Atari 7800

    TurboGrafx CD
    3DO
    Jaguar/CD
Philips CD-i (why would I, though?)
    Vectrex
Colecovision (hopefully will buy this soon!)
    Atari 5200

I don't think I've ever played a TG-16. I've never even been in the same room as a Jaguar/Jag CD, much less played one. As far as systems released in the U.S. I think that's it. Outside of the CD32 I haven't played anything that wasn't released in the U.S.

It is never to late to get one! The Super Nintendo is everything an NES owner would want and they are reasonably priced now so I highly recommend checking it out!
