    Default GamePro Magazine - Issue 037 - August 1992

One of the most popular magazines of his day, brought news of game releases for SEGA, Nintendo, among other systems, even had a TV show. Indispensable for anyone who played video games at the time.

Here you can check it in its entirety on CBR and JPEG format for reading on tablet devices:

GamePro was a good read and very popular in Europe, they even did a UK version, lasting 11 issues:

I purchased issues back in the days, but was never a big fan. The rating system was yuck, with all the faces, and it seemed like they gave every single game the excited faces.

Thanks I love checking out old game mags, still have some Gamepros from '94-'97 myself. I've never played the SNES version of Universal Soldier, but if it's anything like the Genesis version it's terrible. I don't remember fighting giant mosquitoes being near as integral to the film's plot as it was in the game, not that the plot was exactly Oscar-worthy

internet is nice and free and fast but I miss the magazines I used to look forward to getting at the store or in the mail. Gamepro was one for sure. Loved the game gear and the arcade stuff making front page is not something you see much anymore we just lost another one in town though we gained one also

I liked GamePro back then but it was easily third place in my gaming magazine reading. Unless you consider the fact that EGM and VG&CE fought for first place in my heart for quite some time so they jockied back and forth for 1st place.

I'm sure most of you know this, but if you don't, there's the fantastic site, retromags, where you can dl tons of old game mags. They've been having problems with filehosts, so lots of dead links atm, but I see that they're revamping the site, and maybe they'll come up with a better distrubution method as well.

Funny thing is, the game is just a tweaked Turrican entry. Even the music was borrowed. It's pretty shameless.

Never played the SNES version though.

Wow, great scans and blast from the past. Gamepro was a cool mag, covered so many games in one issue. This was back in the day where artwork and celebrities were the prominent part of a game ad, not the game itself! Graphics were too primitive.

And how about the Interactive Network?? Precursor to Android/IOS gaming?

Thanks for the scan! I have my old (1988-1995) EGMs, NPs, VG&CEs, and GamePros (shitty mag in comparison, tho) sitting in storage back in Canada.. So it's always great to read them again.

One issue I never had but heard was full of great previews was EGM #13. You wouldn't have that issue to scan in, would you?
