I don't think I could ever be caught dead in that jacket, but I would proudly store it in my closet

So, from the same guy on amazon I got the complete in box gamegear devilish for $4, I found something even better.

Got a COMPLETE IN BOX robocop vs terminator for game gear for $6. From what I've seen pricewise, loose copies start at around $7, with just the game and manual I was able to find one auction where it got bid up to $19 with shipping included. Can't find a single complete or even just boxed copy in ebay completed listings for the past six months or on any other amazon listing. However, judging by how few copies there actually ARE online (especially compared to the more expensive but easier to find genesis version) I'm definitely happy with the purchase. Needed a good run n' gun for my gamegear, anyhow. All I have is platformers :P

That jacket looks awesome, a very cool find at a thrift. I'm reminded of all the people who would find Working Designs schwag at thrift shops in Redding.

All I can tell you is that the business card looks like it has Chinese, not Japanese, writing on it.

Finally getting some interesting finds this year, though I didn't find any actual games.

I actually stumbled across something at a local ReStore I rarely see in the wild; a Wavebird receiver. I have yet to find a Wavebird in the wild that actually had the receiver with it, so this was a nice find. And it was sitting right next to some official Nintendo AV cables, which I also rarely see anymore. Every time I find a SNES or N64 or Gamecube, it's always missing the AV cables. Picked up an NES controller and an N64 AC adapter, all together a total of $5.00

And I picked up a Trinitron from Goodwill, where they had marked all their TVs to $10. I guess they got a surplus of older TVs from people who upgraded over the holidays. Unlike most I see, it still had the flap on the front intact, plus it had S-video so it was a no brainer. It works just fine, though I do have a question for anyone who has one... how do I get the "VIDEO 1" in the top corner to go away? I've went thru the menu to no avail, and it didn't come with a remote.

Anyway, time to look for an S-Video cable for my SNES... any suggestions? Are the ones from Racketboy any good?

Went to FX Game Exchange today as they are closing one of their stores next week for good, so most stuff is at least 30% off up to 50% off.

American McGee's Scrapland (Xbox) - missing manual
Land of the Dead (xbox) - no manual either dangit!
    Pure Pinball (Xbox) - complete
    Mr. Nutz (gbc) - loose
    Robopon (gbc) - loose
Nintendo DS Rumble Pak - loose

All of this for right at $20 after discounts. Never seen Robopon before and a game called Mr. Nutz?!? I had to have that one for the giggle factor alone!

Thanks. I no longer watch wrestling but I still pick up wrestling related memorabilia from time to time, especially title belts.

    Xbox TGS Demo Dvd $6
    Capcom TGS Dvd sealed $6
    Soul Calibur III Dvd $1
    3DO Import Game
    Monster Farm/Rancher 2 Demo(PS1) $3
Three Sega Japanese Promo Dvds $3
Eight EA Japanese Promo Dvds $10

This was a promo lot that I picked up in individual pieces. The Xbox dvd contains a demo disc and the Monster Farm/Rancher 2 is a demo but everything else are dvds containing promo videos and other materials for upcoming games. Most are not region free but it's nothing my Japanese PS2 can't handle. I will cover the 3DO game in my next post because that was also a part of a 3DO lot but this game arrived by itself ahead of the other titles.

    Three Splinter Cell books $1.50
    Watchmen: Director's Cut bluray $4

I got all of this from Goodwill. It's all doubles but those are two of the rarest Splinter Cell books. I'm not really sure why I picked up Watchmen since I recall not being too impressed the first time I watched it on dvd. But it was cheap so....

    Tokyo Majin Vol. 1 $4
    Tokyo Majin Vol. 2 $4
    Gun Sword Vol. 1 $4
    Gun Sword Vol. 6 $4
    Chrono Crusade $4
    Koi Kazei $4
    Lunar Legend: Tsukihime $4
    R.O.D.: The TV $4
    X re-Mix 5 $4
    Gantz $4
Le Chevalier D'Eon Livre II $4
    Chobits Disc 2 $4
    Get Backers Vol. 6 $4
    Get Backers Vol. 9 $4

    Trigun Remix Vol. 3 $4
    Lade Death $4
    Nerima Daikon Brothers $4
Girls of Bravo Vol. 5 $4
Girls of Bravo Vol. 6 $4

Thats $80 in anime dvds I was at Goodwill looking thru their dvd collection when I came across some random anime dvd that was still sealed. It was mixed in with a bunch of live action stuff so I thought nothing of it. Then I started looking thru the other shelves that had dvds and every now and then I found a few anime dvds mixed in with other stuff in groups of 2-5 titles. While that would have been cool on it's own, I also noticed that all of them were still factory sealed. So I started grabbing everything I found. When I was done the pile I had was more than double of what I have up there. I stopped counting when I was pass $160 and there was still more to go. So I then started taking out doubles and overly cutsey stuff with an age range of 3 and up or 7 and up. But it still wasn't enough so I then started taking out unique titles and my goal was to get down to $100. When I finally got there I decided to take a few more off in order to pay less than $100 including sales tax.

I reached my goal but took even more stuff off until I got the twenty titles above. And with the exception of Lady Death(which was really the only thing I wanted at first) all of those dvds are factory sealed. I left behind a bunch of stuff(Heat Guy J, Viewtiful Joe, Getter Robo, etc) but I didn't know whats what since I've been out of the anime loop for awhile and have just been picking up cheap stuff and watching other stuff on Crackle. I'm only going to open the stuff I want to watch. The rest I'll keep sealed in case I decide to sell it later down the road.

    GameShopping day.

To get them out of the way, I got two guilty pleasures at list price or near list price since I'd been waiting for months to find a deal on either and it wasn't happening any better than it did today.

Super Mario World (SNES) - $15 - Everyone's charging $15 or more for super mario world. They finally had a good condition cart, so I got one.

DKC2: Diddy's Kong Quest (SNES) - $15 - Actually expected this to be more, as they wanted $20 for the first (Which is more common than #2) and $25 for the third, but I wasn't going to turn this price down, especially for a copy with a good label.

    As for everything else...

Lawnmower Man (SNES) - $3 - Not bad licensed game
TinStar (SNES) - $4 - Obscure Ligtgun-but-not-lightgun shooter by ninty themselves
DinoCity (SNES) -$6 - Jontron. need I say more?

Steel Empire (GEN) - $3 but the label's all torn from trying to remove a previous store's sticker. May be able to get the store to replace it based on their policies with one without such label damage.

Fatal Rewind (GEN) - $3, tiny tear near top but not of the utmost importance.

Shinobi (GG) - $5. Been meaning to try this for a while

Shinobi II (GG) - $4. Dunno where my store gets their prices but theyre considerably cheaper than online so I had to nab both.

Now, after this, I figured I'd check the goodwill right next to them for shits n giggles. They never have anything (gee I wonder why a goodwill next to a used game store never has games in? :P) but this time, there was actually some GameGear stock there!

Bonkers Wax Up - $2. Pretty decent disney platformer. sorta like scooby doo on SNES in some ways.

Surf Ninjas - $2. I won't turn down any non-sports game gear game for this price. Even the horribility of surf ninjas found its way into my heart.

    One final item from goodwill...

    Toy Story (GB) - $1.

It's the worst port of the SNES/Genesis game I've ever played in my life. It's....getting resold.

So yeah, pretty good day for me! Full pic when not lazy.

Goodwill gettings: 2 Game Boy multis, a 42-in-1 and a 31-in-1, for $5.99 each. Usual suspects (Tetris, Bomb City, Bubble Booble, some form of Mario) and a few foreign titles. The Wii Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is new in an official Wii longbox that I haven't seen before.

That Wii game looks like one of those copies that comes from Sam's club or Costco where they're wrapped like that. It's really just a regular DVD case in some cardboard, kind of like what they used to do with CDs back in the 90s too.

    Wow, Goodwill selling bootleg multicarts?
Do they just not care if they're selling an illegal item, or does it have to say "COUNTERFEIT VIDEO GAME" on it for them to realize that? :P

Then again, the last time I went to my local store, the only pre-last-gen games they had were (literally) a few common low demand games like F-1 Race for Game Boy and Jaws for NES.

Picked up these off of craigslist today for a total of $40 for the set

    Logitech G25 racing wheel
    Logitech Momo racing wheel

Both work but had crushed usb ports. I had to pretty much straighten them out to test them.

eh, from a few retro bootleg collectors I know tend to find a lot of their games in thrift stores and flea markets.
