Default Neogeo super 8 in 1 multicart + super converter 2 question

So I recent purchased a multi cart on craigslist. I also have a super converter 2 with the blue led. My aes is a Japanese 5v.

My question is how the eff do I change the games on this? I tried holding down the p1 start button till my finger was purple and no avail.

Here's a pic of the cart

Theres videos I found for bigger collections on youtube, but the one i clicked on before i got busy wit hother things, the dude used a MVS so he had the white select button. im sure youll find a video on youtube with an aes console.

Can you ask the person you bought the cart from how to get it to change games? All the videos that came up had a ton more games on them, are you sure this one is good? How old is it? The videos I see they screen comes up on the tv and the guy can go through on the aes controllers and select the game he wants, and then he just restarts it to play another game. Does this not give you the menu to choose games from?

This one was like $20 I have a 161 in 1 cart coming soon. He said to hold player One start for 5 seconds and it will take you to a menu but nothing happens.

Ive never used one of these so I cant say really anything else. Did you try other button combos? Like select maybe? If it doesnt work, then Id say I want my money back. How much are these if you dont mind me asking? I have all these games on my computer, but I do want an AES asa collecting fantasy, itd be great to buy these type of carts and play games I cant afford.

Damn. I didnt think those were THAT expensive, but back in the day thats how much a game cost. MVS games dont cost nearly as much as AES games most of the time though, so you can find some to make it more worth while.
