Default [DEAD] Vita 3G + 8GB card $225./also move to deals.

Vita launch bundle on Ebay. Sony is the seller. According to the listing, quantities are limited.

Way overpriced, when you can easily get a Vita off Craigslist for as little as $130 to $150. There are a number of craigslist posts in my local area where people are saying they will buy a Vita for $100. The fact that people have the cajones to offer only a mere C-note for a Vita is pretty telling.

I'd much rather purchase this new instead of second hand off Craigslist.

Well, that's understandable, but in my neck of the woods, Craigslist is absolutely flooded with used Vitas. I'd have my pick of the litter. I can make absolutely sure that the screen is great, and the unit isn't scratched up, etc, etc. Plus, you're paying no tax. Getting a Vita for $140 or less out the door is Grand Larceny, but it's very much do-able. (at least where I live)

I've never bought used gaming systems unless they're long out of production. It's just too risky buying used gaming systems. You don't know what retard(s) owned the thing before you and whether they took care of it or not.

I bought all three of my PS3 systems and atleast four GBA SP systems used and they have all worked just fine. As long as you get to examine them first you should be ok unless it's a system prone to having issues.

BTW, the auction is now priced at $269. One of these days I'm going to get a Vita but like my PSP it will probably be bought used.

Certainly, I would prefer to buy things new, but if you're almost getting something for 50 percent cheaper, it's pretty hard to argue with buying one via Craigslist. There are so many used Vita's floating around on my local Craigslist, that I could probably get a Vita for as cheap as $130. There are actually craigslist posts of people seeking to buy used Vita's for $100, and in those posts, they act like they are doing people a favor by giving them $100 for it. It's kinda laughable, but at the same time, it shows just how far the Vita has fallen in terms of it's "real world" value.

The standard price of a Vita is $249.99, and that's for the cheaper Wi-Fi version. 90 percent of the ones I'm seeing on Craigslist are actually the 3G versions, but they aren't selling for any more money, because nobody cares about the whole 3G thing. So, let's see, $249.99 plus tax, you're talking about $270 after taxes. I know I can get a used Vita in excellent condition for $135, and that is a full half off the retail (after tax) price. I'm sorry, but as long as you make sure all the buttons are working properly, the accellerometor, the touch screens, etc, etc. Make sure the screen doesn't have any scratches on it, make sure the unit isn't damaged on the surface, etc, etc. I just don't see what the problem is ?

    Why pay double ?
