Id sign up for it i thought why not.I did listen to a few podcast last year ago where victor lreland was a guest and he made big deal 'about class of heroes 2.He stated it was better then the original and it was worth bringing to the u.s and all.Now i didn't donate for it's kickstarter since the psp was all ways a niche market in the u.s.Not to mention i was worry if id gave some money and it failed id loose out.Now i never played the original, but i am interested in it's sequel plus i do want a physical copy not a digital one.

Uh, dungeon crawlers are still RPGs. It's just a sub-genre, like strategy RPGs. Working Designs had lots of different types of RPGs beyond the traditional ones like Lunar, from Dragon Force to Vanguard Bandits. They also had platformers and even a light gun game. If anything, I'd say they're known for niche Japanese releases with an anime aesthetic, usually RPGs, though. Class of Heroes 2 fits in perfectly with the image of Working Designs.

Thanks must of missed that somehow, hopefully its fast tracked through the Sony approval process and we can get a release sooner then later.

Yeah I agree with you 100% about Kickstarter, there was no way they were going to get $500k and they should have realized that.

But, I do wish a lot more developers would do this variable printing. No need to commit to anything, just open up preorders and let people know that if the minimum is met the game will be produced. 2500 is probably the lowest print run Sony will let them do.

Even so this isn't the actual preorder, even if they get 2500 people signed up it doesn't mean they'll go through with paying for a copy.

Oh, they will sell. Unlike Nintendo, Sony knows dedicated niche RPGs are guaranteed sellers despite low print numbers. Why do you think the PS3 had so many more exclusive RPGs?

I think Oob meant dead system on these American shores. A bunch of those games listed above are not US titles, and if they get a release at all, will be download only.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

I think in terms of upcoming US UMD releases, there's, what, this game, Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi, and Sweet Fuse: At Your Side? There may be some yearly sports updates or whatever, but that's it for notable upcoming physical releases, right? And for guys, YMMV on if Hakuoki and Sweet Fuse are worth caring about, since one is an otome game and the other is an action game in an otome franchise.

    There's the difference. DOWNLOADABLE.

There is little/no risk when the title is not produced and made physically available.

When it comes to physically released games, the PSP is all but dead.

    That is surprising.

Still doesn't change the fact that the system is pretty much dead at retail, though.

And I see a lot of those "niche" Japanese games at GameStop, still new. Ones that have been out for a while. Hardly the "guaranteed sell" they were touted as earlier.

They might get some hardcore gamer sales and some collector thinking "OMG RAREZ 2K MONIES" (spoiler: highly unlikely)

So what? As long as the games are coming and Sony gives the AOK, the PSP lives on as far the company is concerned.

Oh and it's getting another game: http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-new...rn-psp-release

So that's why GameStop suddenly charged my credit card. I have several preorders coming out soon, and forgot about that one.

About time. Although I hear the "solution" to the whole licensing rights issue was to remove the intro entirely, which is pretty lame. Why couldn't they just remove the song and replace it with some in-game track? Doesn't make any sense to throw away the animation too for no reason.

I don't know if you made a typo, but the price is showing up as $36.99 for me. Kinda scuzzy of them to tack on a couple extra dollars from what they were originally saying the price would be with no explanation.

And it looks like they're doing the covers completely backwards assed. Why are the Kickstarter backers getting the cover that came in second place? Shouldn't their reward be the most popular cover? I actually prefer the second place cover, which is based on the Japanese cover rather than being a messy copy and paste of game assets like the other cover, and as someone who didn't back the Kickstarter, I was hoping I'd get that one.
