Trying to find name of 80's space shooter.
I'm trying to find the name of a game I remember playing back in the 80's at the arcades. It was a space game that had open field game play (like Time Pilot 84). You flew over ocean and land and shot various types of ships. I remember one type of ship was shaped like a "u" and would drop power-ups if destroyed. It was made by one of the big game makers (I want to say Namco or Sega but I'm not sure) and I remember it being quite popular.

No, it's not Xevious (although I love that game). This game had a 360 degree range of movement that went on indefinitely.
