To The Moon, while an "interactive story" that didn't have a lot of game substance, REALLY pulled at my heart strings. One night I played from 11 PM on a Friday until 6 AM Saturday to finish it. My eyes were like Niagara Falls and I'm man enough to admit it.

Strike Suit Zero looks very appealing. I know I have games in my backlog which will have to stay that that way until I fix my PC. I have to use a table fan to cool it as some chips must be starting to go bad and are getting really hot.

Strike Suit Zero has been described to me as a fluid combination of Zone of the Enders and Omega Boost. Take that for what you will.

This weeks sale is a mixed bag.

    For $1+:
    Arma II
    Take On Helicopters
    UFO: Afterlight
    Alpha Prime
    ARMA: Gold Edition
    ARMA Tactics

    For $6+:
    Carrier Commander: Gaea Mission
    Arma II: Operation Arrowhead
    Arma II: DayZ Mod

Toki Tori was a better game on GBC IMO. Felt much more advanced for the system, and can easily be mistaken for a GBA game. The remake is still a good game, but I don't like some of the stylistic changes they made.

    I'm liking this weeks sale.

    For $1+:
Paranautical Activity (Early Access Game) + OST
Dungeons of Dreadmore Complete + OST
    Hack, Slash, Loot + OST

    For $6+:
The Binding of Issac + Wrath of the Lamb DLC
Teleglitch: Die More Edition + OST
Sword of the Stars: The Pit - Gold Edition

Paranautical is shaping up to be something special. Dungeons of Dreadmore is worth it, it's a fun game and pretty easy from a rougelike standpoint. Hack, Slash, Loot isn't really worth it, sadly, as it's less based heavily on RNG and not gameplay. The Binding of Issac isn't my bag, but still a good game in it's own right. Never played Teleglitch or The Pit, but I've seen them in action. Worth it.

I'll take an extra key for Paranautical Activity if someone wants to give it up. Otherwise I think I'll pass; I still don't care for FPS games generally, and I have all the other games. (Picked up Sword of the Stars Gold for ~$3 over Christmas.)

The Binding of Isaac was an incredible experience, and I look forward to the upcoming remake.

    For $1+:
    Overlord
    Overlord: Rising Hell DLC
    Operation Flashpoint: Red River
    Operation Flashpoint: Rising Dragon
Rise of the Argonauts + OST

    For $6+:
    DiRT Showdown
    DiRT 3
    Overlord II

I recall seeing Overlord in action when it was new. Seemed fun and full of character, but was bogged down by bad controls.

Two of those games (Dirt 3 and one of the Flashpoints) use GFWL. Codemasters hasn't said whether or not they'll remove that crap before it shuts down.

There's a good chance Dirt 3 will have it removed since there's a new version of the game on Steam's internal database. But Operation Flashpoint? Who knows. Codemasters has a nasty habit of letting games and licenses die out and not giving a fuck, so buyer beware.

I have the Overlord games and Rise of the Argonauts for 360 so consequently I won't be buying this week's bundle but to anyine on the fence I whole heartedly recommend jumping in. ROA is a greek mythology themed action RPG, and a sleeper favorite of mine. Its pretty short but entertaining. And the Overlord games are hilarious.

Really? I can only recall hearing rather grim things about the Overlord games. But I'll take your word for it; we're only talking a buck here.

I hadn't noticed this until now, but apparently they replaced the old "enter how much you want to pay" field with a twitchy slider bar.

Yeah, the slide bar sucks. It doesn't look like it, but if you click on the green square with the price that changes when you move the slide bar, it allows you type what you want to pay there. Type what you want then click somewhere on the screen for the slide bar to change.

Oh. I had clicked on it then used the arrow keys to adjust it where I wanted it. Options are nice.

    Humble Sid Meier Bundle.

    For $1

    Civilization 3 Complete
    Civilization 4 Complete
    Ace Patrol
    Ace Patrol Pacific Skies
    Railroads

    Average

    Civilization 5 and DLC

    $15
Civilization 5 Brave New World DLC

How is Civilization 5? I've only played the first and second game. Should I just pay $1 and ignore the fifth one or does that much actually change in these future revisions?

    *edit*

Lots of people were paying $20 for it while I was watching the bundle sales and it went up a couple of cents so I thought I might as well get it now.

Doh! Looks like I messed up and missed out on the Humble Weekly Sale with all of the roguelike games. I'm unsure if I want to get the Codemaster games but I'm semi-tempted. As for the Sid Meier bundle, I might just have to get that so I can get the Gods & Kings expansion for my Civ V copy I bought when it came out and never opened.

Are any of those CIV games not stomped under the boot of the DRM frontend known as Steam? I know Civ5 is a lost cause, but I'm curious about the other two. I miss playing the game, the original was a favorite and #2 wasn't too bad but I can't get that stuff running in Win7 64bit which sucks balls (same with Sim City Classic but I have Micropolis for that at least.)

Nevermind saw the red fine print well down the page. I'm out. If anyone ever learns out how to hack out steam support I'd be up for some Civ5, the others you can get at used shops cheap still.

Some Steam games are DRM free, you just have to download them through the Steam client. Maybe someone else knows if Civilization 3 and 4 are DRM free. My ISP has an internet usage cap and I'm not interested in playing either right now.

I bought Civ IV in a DRM-free form from Gamefly, so it seems safe to assume that it is not integrated with Steam.

This weeks deal is a clone of an old Humble Bundle with an addition.

    For $1+:
    Psychonauts + both OSTs
    Costume Quest + OST
    Stacking + OST

    For $6+:
Brutal Legend + OST (game, not tracks)

For (as of this post) $16.74+:
    Spacebase DF-9 (Early Access)

Have everything but Spacebase. If that comes down, I might spring on the set, get a few gift codes out of the deal.

Edit: Looks like this is going along with this years Amnesia Fortnight.
    https://www.humblebundle.com/doublefine
Worth looking into. 2012's produced the (still in production) Massive Chalice and SpaceBase DF-9. Looks like Pendleton Ward is going to work on a game too.

This thread should probably be in the newly moved and more visible computer gaming section now.

Why? Humble Bundle is modern. Computer Gaming seems like Classic Gaming but for computers.
