Default Geo AES S-video mod, fading

Playing my AES today for the first time in a while, and the video is showing problems. The screen becomes wavy from what looks like interference, and the colors have lost all vibrancy. I had an s-video mod done a while ago from someone on DP, and it's worked fine until now. Internally, the mod looks fine. All of the solder points look good, and the capacitors show no leakage.

Any simple solution I could be missing here?

Update: Okay, so it's the TV. My CRT shows the images just fine, bright and full. Oddly, s-video on the 3DO, SNES, N64, Saturn, and Dreamcast display without fault on my plasma. Tried bypassing any type of upscaling or processing and the AES still shows the problems. I have an s-video amp which I tried as well to no avail.

Would an AES component video mod still be possible given the s-video situation? Anyone offer those here if the answer is yes?

The amp could still be having problems and those circuits using transistors are usually garbage. You can drive a screw with a hammer but that doesn't make it a nail.

I'd imagine a component mod with high quality parts would be fine.
I fix things. You name it, I'll work on it. Want something modded? Recapped?
