Can't add anything to the article. I'm not a Mega Man player for starters, but I will say that I respect what the team did for Metroid Prime and would've liked to see this going.

Glad it got canned, seriously this looks awful. Reminds me of the crazy violent serious bomberman they released around 2007. If I want a cheap Halo clone, ill get one. This doesnt look or feel like megaman at all. I suggest you try the free megaman 8-bit deathmatch made by fans, its an awesome first person shooter in 8-bit style graphics and its very fun too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73CSQidJH54 capcom should pick this one up and release it on psn xbox live.

The videos literally made me laugh out loud. It looks like a mockup that was created to parody the modern grimdarking of classic franchises. I think the only gritty realistic version of Mega Man I'd find interesting would be a living, breathing embodiment of the original box art.

It looks pretty cool to me. The screenshots kind of remind me of Tron 2.0.

It's really too bad. Any attempts to update or revitalize mega man are squelched before they see the light of day. I think all the ideas in the last few years (this, legends 3, online, etc) had promise and I would have liked to see them come to fruition.

You got Metroid Prime in my Mega Man!

Character design is terrible IMO. "Oh, it's Mega Man X, and he's got a BIG RED X OH HIS FACE! GET IT?! GET IT?!?"

The actual gameplay looks solid, but it's just not what I think of when I think Mega Man. I can see them using some of these ideas in an original game though.

Kinda glad it got canned... remember "Bomberman: Act Zero"? Ugh....

I would have bought Mega Man: Maverick Hunter as, while it is not the Mega Man of the past, it shows promise and I imagine it would have had good Metroid Prime-esque gameplay. My favorite video of the prototype was the sky dive 'n' chase sequence.
