Capcom's ongoing quest to make all of the original NES Mega Man soundtracks legally available in the US continues this week, with the release of Mega Man 2's official soundtrack over at the Capcom store. The 42 track album (!) is available digitally for $8.95.

Mega Man 2's soundtrack was composed by Takashi Tateishi, who also composed the music for the arcade version of Willow and U.N. Squadron, among other things. His work on Mega Man 2 was credited under the alias "Ogeretsu Kun," a practice which was not entirely uncommon for Capcom at the time. Additional contributions to the soundtrack were also made by Mega Man composer Manami Matsumae.
