Default Was Polaroid Pete ever released in the UK?

OK, so I'm one in a trillion who loves the Gekibo/Gekisha Boy series by IREM, let alone even knows about it. I've played both games in the series to completion, but always wondered about the European release of the sequel, Gekibo 2. The game has localized boxart, magazine reviews and television features for a joint venture with Polaroid called "Polaroid Pete" (The playable character's name is actually David Goldman, but whatever, english release yay), but I have yet to actually hear of a copy existing.

That being said...anyone know what happened? Was it released in ridiculously small quantities, making it a collectible rarity? Was it just released so quietly that few people actually bought it? Hell, did they pull an Earthbound Zero and finish localizing it, but pull the release?

Thanks in advance for anyone who has information on this strange localization of a stranger game.

I remember hearing about this one. The publisher apparently went bankrupt a few days before it was supposed to be released. Presumably there are still copies out there like that NBA Elite 11.
