Didn't you see the giant Retorn5 thread we already have? Mods please delete/merge this.
to answer your questions, hyperkin hasn't set a release date, and there's no word yet on compatibility. hyperkin says their aim is 100%, but giving their track record I wouldn't hold my breath.

I made the decision to wait out for this system and to get it upon release. I've been in the market for a multi-clone device that plays NES/SNES/Genesis titles and this one seems to be the big winner, I am really anxious for it's release!
Those are one and the same. The Retron4 is the original announcement name before Hyperkin later announced direct 60 pin Famicom support making it the Retorn5. The Retron 4 is a thing apparently thread is all about the Retorn5. Thus, this is a duplicate thread and should be merged or deleted.

I also can't wait for this to came out,I was just getting ready to order an official Famicom console from Japan to play my growing Famicom collection. But with the Retron 5 on it's way I'll just wait for this to came out.
Why does this thread still exist? Guys, there's already a giant eight page thread discussing the Retorn5 here on digitalpress that contains lots of information, discussion, theories and images.

Please read it over and stop posting in this duplicate thread.

Yeah Satoshi, no offense, but for an enthusiast, or at least highly educated party do you realize how frequently you misspell "Retron"?
