As soon as the sale was announced I fully expected it to crash within minutes of the hour.

I tried several times during the hour, and it crashed every time.

I was not surprised.

I've had similar issues with Amazon and other on-line retailers when they offer crazy deals like this. It's no excuse, but I don't think Gamestop is alone in not having the proper infrastructure to handle deals of this magnitude.

I was at the part to enter the my shipping information within the first minute hitting submit from there kept timing out, so at 12:15 I chalked it up as time wasted and didn't bother with it after the third time.

This is the same thing that happened with Capcom with Mega Man 9 isn't it (or something Mega Man related)?

And that also happened to me way back in the day(2005 or 2006) when Amazon had a sale for 360's for like $150 or $200. I could add the item to my cart but thats it. The whole system crashed within a minute.

Atleast Amazon has an excuse. A brand new HD console several hundred dollars cheaper versus a fighting game $25 cheaper than what you can acquire it for. It's possible to get this for $35 at Best Buy with the @Gamer coupon.
