Default Trying to Identify VHS based gaming console (NOT Action Max)

Im trying to identify a VHS based gaming console (If you can call it that). This was meant for Young children and from what I remember you would play the VHS tape and then there was a special controller that would plug into the VCR to interact with the VHS. The controller was a simple design from my memory, white with a blue bottom and I believe the buttons were red and green smiley faces? does anybody know what Im talking about? This must have been between 1984-1987

Is it the View-Master Interactive Vision? Controller seems sort of similar.

The Interactive Vision's controller plugged into the game "console". I think the VCR goes into the console then the console outputs it to a TV. I've actually got one and a single "game", but I've never had even the smallest desire to hook the whole thing up and see if it does anything. It's in storage right now, nearly forgotten and unloved, right next to my N64 which shares its fate.

What about the Captain Power stuff? It might not be that, but that is another "interactive" VHS thing.

Good point, I missed the bit about where the controller plugged.

I watched some videos if games on YouTube the other day. I don't think you are missing anything!

There was this nifty device called Videosmarts from back then that sort of fits your description.

Now that's more like his description of what he remembers. I think I've seen one or two of those in thrifts throughout the years, didn't know 'til now what they were. Ah well, it's not like I missed anything great.
