    Default Reassembling SNES

    Hi,

I recently disassemble my SNES (model No. SNS-001) to replace the adaptor port. Unscrewed everything, desoldered and soldered the piece. Now I'm trying to reassemble it and like a total noob (its my first time doing this stuff ... ) I can't seem to figure out where all the screws go to screw the metal plates back onto the motherboard. There's the large metal plate on the underside of the motherboard which I can't figure out how to screw back, the screws don't seem to fit in the holes. haha. same for the top plates. I disassembled it months ago and had it laying around till now, so I can't remember for the life of me what goes where. Would anyone have a specific description of which screws go where? I have 6 small bronze colored screws, 9 medium screws and 4 larger silver screws. Any bit of help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks SO much!!!

I would have to take one of mine apart to check, but it would be easier for you to look up a video of it on YouTube. There are plenty of videos showing which screws go where.

First sit the two brass expansion fittings into the bottom of the case.

Now the bottom metal plate is the larger one. Set the board on it to where the ext. port fits in the rectangle cut out for it.

Then place the small metal cover over the chips on the top of the board so the two screw hole jutting out, line up with the cart slot screw holes.

Now place the controller ports in place and attach the ribbon carefully.

    The 4 silver phillips screws.
2 go in the card slot mount.

One goes in the next to the multi out in the plastic screw hole.

The other goes in the metal screw hole between ch3 - ch4 switch and the power port.

Next put in the shvc - sound card. 2 brass screws go here. Not on the exposed board.

2 brass screws go in the metal cover inline with the controller ribbon plug.

And the next 2 brass screws go in the same cover just on the sides about an inch and a quarter from the last screws.

Plug in the power switch an place it on the 2 posts with the plastic pins going through the smaller holes in the switch mount. The last 2 brass screws go here

Lastly place your eject button in with the spring on the power switch side and the bent side sitting in the plastic mount.

You should only be left with the six security screws for the case.

Let me know how it goes. Thats about the best i can explain it.
