The sleep mode for sure. So say Im playing and something comes up, I hit the power button and boom its in sleep mode and I can come back to it and be exactly where I was.

Well, you can't do that. Not yet anyway, I'm sure they can add that if they ever make a version or update the system to go TV out.
I pretty much like everything about the Vita with the exception of the trickle of full commercial games and the expensive proprietary memory cards.
"And the book says: 'We may be through with the past, but the past ain't through with us.'"
^I looked and thought about it for a second, and then didn't think of any of the features I'd specifically call my favorite, so just didn't post. I didn't think about something as simple as just playing games when I was thinking, which would be. I will say a few things about it though.
Playing anything on the Vita looks amazing because of the OLED screen. Side by side comparison of a game running on any of my other portables and a game running on the Vita, there's just no comparison on what console I'd rather play on if I can play the same game on either.
PSP, PSX, and even emulated games also benefit from the OLED from upscaling. Looks amazing. I own a second Vita just so I could keep one at lower firmware with the exploit that allows me to play homebrew and any PSP game on the system. Once you go sub HD upscaled you don't ever go back.
Party chat can be used with or without a mic. Even without a mic there's no interference from the game music or whatever is playing through the Vita speakers to the people on the other end. There can also be eight people in one room on party chat. Kind of useless though. Who knows seven people with a Vita, or eight if you don't own one yourself? J/k
Adhoc Party still works with PSP games on the Vita.
Did you help make the system? That's pretty bold of you to say then, isn't it? Just kidding. Joking about what Major Nelson said to Joe about not being able tto update the Xbox One to remove the DRM.
The Sleep mode doesnt empty the battery like 3ds. Sometimes I play a game, put it in sleep mode, and continue exactly where i was 2 weeks earlier and the battery still has lots of juice!!
Aside from how well it collects dust, I am keeping my Vita for the link-up options it will have for the PS4. That has me more excited than anything it can do on its own.

I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't played my Vita in a long time. However, when I do play it, the thing I like most about it, is just being able to curl up in a sofa, or whatever, and enjoy that handheld experience, except with the Vita, the handheld experience is damn near console quality. Playing a game like Wipeout 2048, with some good headphones, and a nice comfy sofa, is one of the purest joys of life.
