    Default Chip Music, any recommendations?

Ive always been interested in finding some good music made from NES and other old systems sound chips. I even saw a trailer for a documentary about it, but I didnt see it and Ive forgotten the name.

Any songs or people who make it youd recommend? And anyone know the documentary Im talking about? I havent listened to 8bitx much, only heard about them through a youtube channel.

Also worth listening to is an electronic band with Chiptune elements called Starship Amazing, which is the band of Derek Alexander, the Happy Video Game Nerd, one of my favorite Youtube video game reviewers.

There is no such thing, chip music should be reserved only for the use of being pumped into prisoner jail cells at Guantanamo. Go by Jason Isbell's new album Southeastern if you want to find some new good music.

That fantomenk guy is pretty good.

Listen to his song Bionic Belly button, it's pretty good and was featured as the opening theme to "Beat Tom" on YouTube.

    WAIT WHAT.

Chiptune music can be awful just as any type of music, but a lot of it is pretty damn awesome in fact.

    Anamanaguchi

    Awesome stuff. Spectacular live.

They did the entire soundtrack to the retro influenced Scott Pilgrim game.

I'm subscribed to a few (mostly 16-bit) chiptune composers on YouTube, including Dominick Ninmark aka NitroFlasher, Karl Brueggmann aka KGB525, TheLegendofRenegade, sparkster7744, DJKlzonez, etc. I also upload my own from time to time, but I'm finally taking a break which I have been planning for months to work on something else.

Generally I prefer 16-bit chiptunes but there are some good 8-bit ones out there as well. I wish I knew where to find more stuff like this:

Didn't you post similar comments the last time there was a chiptune recommendation topic? Is it really necessary to pop into every chiptune topic just to try to rain on everybody's parade? No one cares that you hate all chiptune music. This is a topic for recommendations, not a "What do you think of chiptune music?" thread.

I must say that I am greatly saddened to learn that there is very little of the world's happiest music in chip form.

I like this guy. Blip Festival is where he's at. A lot of cool people played there over the years.

Sheesh, sorry to upset you so much with some light hearted ribbing. Don’t take it so personal, if someone wants to blast the music, movies, books, sports teams, etc I’m into I say blast away. I don’t think I high jacked this thread at all.

I really like this Anamaguchi song, speaking of him:

    I also like this guy:

Edit: Sorry, didn't see that someone else already posted a Nullsleep song.

I couldn't care less if you hate chiptune music. I just found it peculiar that you've made it some sort of crusade to point out your hate every time it gets brought up, even when the topic is not asking for such opinions.
