I'd recommend it. On its surface it might just look like a 2D Minecraft, but that would be oversimplifying a bit. There's the "make your own fun" building/digging/crafting aspect of it, but at the time I was into both I definitely got the sense that there was more of a "game" in Terraria - a lot more creatures, bosses, NPCs that would populate your buildings, special items, etc. It's a great world to get lost in and explore.
I know this isn't so much of a recommendation thread as it is us just talking about what we bought, but I'm going to ask anyway. Evoland is on sale for $4.99. As a fan of RPGs, it looks intriguing to me. Should I get it?
I have yet to even try it just like the 8 other games i just downloaded >.> I got other games to play first! >.<!!!
But from what I gather its basically a simulation game done in a perspective a rocket scientist. You have to build your rocket from scratch take in the factors of weather conditons and trajectory and fuel capacity and engine capacity and weight and all that stuff we take for granted when thinking about space exploration. and trying to get our lil guys up into space!! (Thats right SPPPPPPPPAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCEEEEEE). From what I've been told by friends who looked into the game. Its about as close to the real thing as you'll probably ever get on your home pc.
Bought my last game till friday when i get paid again since i am now officially broke after paying a bill :P
Saints Row The Third
5 bucks!!
When I bought SR3 a Summer Sale or two ago I actually avoided getting all of the DLCs, because I read somewhere that the Bloodsucker Pack permanently replaces your finishing move with some vampire bite thing. Not sure if that's actually the case, but I didn't want to chance it just to find out that it couldn't be disabled.
Having completed the game, the only DLC I'd say is a "must" would be the Season Pass, which AFAIK includes all of the mission pack DLCs. Following that I'd recommend Money Shot, which puts a flying jet bike in your garage that comes in really handy, and Special Ops Vehicle Pack, which gives you a fighter jet and tank. Everything else is mostly just outfits, along with a few oddball weapons and vehicles that I never ended up using because there was already so much sweet shit going on in the game.
The Bloodsucker pack isn't included in The Full Package anymore. Valve removed it from the pack after multiple complaints by customers about how it broke the game, but it's still available to purchase if you really want it.
And even if you do have the Bloodsucker pack, it CAN be disabled by modding the game on PC. I don't understand why Volition doesn't just patch the game so it fixes things.

I missed out on getting Castle Crashers and Terraria when they were on sale but my cousin says there's a chance for a repeat on them so I'm holding out hope. So far I've only picked up Magical Drop V and Evoland.

So far, my only two purchases have been Super Sanctum TD @ $0.99 and Wizorb @ $0.74, but there are a crap ton of games I'm shrewding it up over in hopes of deeper discounts. Super Sanctum TD is awesome, I've had a craving for a quality tower defense and this is one has definitely ensnared me (plus, the 2D isometric presentation is rather cool). Wizorb's great, I've had my eye on the XBLIG version for the longest time but this was absolutely the moment to pull the trigger.
What's your take on Magical Drop V, would you recommend it? Apart from the (reportedly buggy) online multiplayer, is it more or less the same Magical Drop as always? And, yeah, I wager it's quite likely that Castle Crashers and Terraria come up again.
I played Magical Drop V for a while. It's nice, but it's kind of rough around the edges. The community forum suggests there's a whacking huge update in the works – I really, really want the Endless mode – but the developers keep putting it off for ambiguous reasons.
I was about to jump on this before I realized that I actually bought it long ago and never got around to even installing it.
So far, the death toll consists of
Deus Ex Human Revolution
Dust
System Shock 2
Fez
Gunpoint
The Swapper
Poker Night 2
Ys I+II
Deus Ex was three bucks and I could not quite turn it down. And I actually have a disk copy of System Shock 2, but I was told sparing myself the installation headaches might be worth $2.49.
I'm holding out for Incredipede, which showed up in the voting for $2.00. I'm also waiting to see if Penny Arcade 4, Ms. Splosion Man, Super Puzzle Platformer, and Bad Bots will get any cheaper.
I would have liked Mortal Kombat or Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, but I doubt either of those are going to go on sale at all. If you want them badly enough, GreenManGaming does have them for 30% off at the moment, along with a lot of others like FFVII. Because you're obviously not buying enough already.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon might be nice, but I bet it will be cheaper yet in the months to come.
And finally, I lament that there is no sign that Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue will ever drop below $15. Then again, I never played the first game, so perhaps I lament for naught.

just got bully scholarship edition for 4 bucks!
Borderlands 2+ season pass, collectors edition upgrade, both character add-ons and about 10 skins all for $35. Not complaining at all considering I was close to purchasing it all a while back for like $130.
Enjoying it more than I thought I would. I was expecting it to be exactly the same but the characters and story are more fleshed out than the original and it doesn't feel as experimental which gives it a more unique and solid feel compared to the first one, combat is pretty much the same though which I expected, not a bad thing if you liked the combat the first time around.
I was waiting for Sonic Generations to drop lower in price, and it finally hit $7.49! Of course I grabbed it!

Can someone tell me what exactly the point of these Steam trading cards is? It seems that I play a game and randomly get issued some cards. I can use a full set of cards to craft a 'badge' that gets me XP, that gets me some wallpapers or vouchers (or something?).
However, it is impossible to randomly get issued a full set of cards by playing the game (you are limited to, say 3 of 6). This means you have to pay cash to get your missing cards from the market place, or trade with friends.
The whole thing seems really long winded and just a money grabbing scheme. Do you actually get anything good at the end of it all?
Civilization V (gold edition or whatever)
Baldur's Gate enhanced
Fallout collection (Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Fallout tactics)
Shadowrun Returns (pre-order)
My poor credit card is on fire right now!
So far, the kill list is:
Tropico 4
The Witcher
Sim City 4
Deus Ex: HR
Fallout: New Vegas
Star Wars: KOTOR 2
Spore
System Shock 2
Batman: AC GOTY
And Steam LOVES me.
Well this bad boy is just about done. One more flash sale and one more community sale (although nothing listed i care about)
