Game Boy Pocket AC adapter compatability with Neo-Geo Pocket Color

I have a Game Boy AC Adapter, model MGB-005 (USA) with output DC 3V and 300mA so it provides 0.9Watts. My Neo-Geo Pocket Color is rated DC 3V at 0.2W so it needs 60mA. Since the DC voltage matches and the power adapter can provide the needed amperes/wattage of the device it should be safe, correct?

Looking around on-line I see several products that claim their adapter is compatible with Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color, and Neo-Geo Pocket Color. I wanted to check if there was a clear answer as to whether the Nintendo power adapter will damage the Neo-Geo.
