Thanks for the heads up. What a great idea for a 2600 game, where Mario was REALLY born

My introduction to Nintendo's now world famous mascot was on Mario Bros. for the 2600, so I'm glad to see him come back home too, Joe.

Just downloaded this and played it off my harmony cartridge. Plays really well, very nice. Music is also excellent for an atari 2600 game.

I haven't played it yet, but the game looks great.

If Nintendo had made a 2600 version of Super Mario Bros. I could see it looking like this!

after reading "racing the beam" I have an amazing amount of respect for fellow programmers who can actually program games on the 2600. It sounds amazingly difficult to do and the fact that the games actually work is astounding.

The other amazing thing is just how robust the 2600 is and that complex things like this can exist on it.

Not to diminish these new game achievements, but they would not be possible without the work of the great batari Fred Quimby, creator of the Harmony cart. His batari BASIC language application to the 2600 has made it much easier to program complex games now, as opposed to I guess writing from scratch or using assembly language or something. Meaning MORE games like this to come in the future!

    Just made my purchase.

Looks like a superb platformer for the Atari 2600.

    Can't wait to play it!

This game is awesome and one of the better homebrew games to come out this year. Challenging gameplay that makes this one great as well.

I may have to check this game out, it looks fun enough and I'm always looking to expand upon my 2600 collection. Good show!

While I can't justify spending that kind of money on a 2600 cart right now, I do have to say that the game looks pretty impressive.

I does look impressive, but yeah it's a tad pricey for a 2600 title. Still, if a game is worth it I'll pay out the dividens for it.

$30 is actually cheap/on par for a 2600 reproduction/homebrew. There's actual work that goes into making them, it's not like you found Asteroids in a shoebox!

I actually already have a Super Mario game for the Atari 2600, it was a hack of the Smurfs game I bought from a guy in Canada. It suffers the same problems the original Smurfs game had.
