    Default Treasures from the basement?

    Hi everyone.

I took a lot of stuff up from my basement (mostly colecovision) i havnt looked at in years.
After doing the homework and searching the net all day,
i have a good idea what the value om most of the titles and controllers are.

However there are a few items i cant find on ebay or any other place
(they are in the digitpress scarcity rating though, i was very happy to find this place btw.)

So on to the question, what's it worth? (or what is an acceptable price to sell these items for?)

    Ebay: nothing listed

    ----

    -----------------------------------------------
    COLECOVISION CONTROLLERS:
    -----------------------------------------------

    1. HIGH SCORE HS-20 CONTROLLER (Tournament Master)
info: Comes with TWO Replacement joysticks
    and HS-20 Owners Manual.
    NO BOX
    digitpress scarcity rating: R6

    -----------------------------------------------

    -----------------------------------------------

    1. Zircon Video Command Controllers (x2 items)
    Info: NO BOX
    digitpress scarcity rating: R5

    Ebay: nothing listed

    ------

Thanks for ANY help on setting an accurate price on these.

    cheers to all!

Hello again people and good mornin.

I updated the OP with pictures, its probably easier to determine a value
if there are some pics included.

Here is another rarity i found going through my stuff.
I was working in the game industry with the release of the PS1 about 20 years ago.
Egmont Film got the distribution for playstation in Norway.

I worked there a few years and got my hands on many cool items, most are sadly gone,
tossing demos to my children without thinking about how these things could propel in value.

Anyway, with the release of namco's Rage Racer i was given an unusual item from my boss.
He said "keep this one"... and i did.

As i recal its especially made for scandinavia and i think only 25 or so was made.
i think only five (5) or so went to Norway and i got one of them. This wrist watch was made by the Danish company
    "HOUSE OF WATCHES" ( http://www.watches.dk/ )

It's in high quality stainless steel and comes in a black leather box

I have no idea what this could be worth..... what minimum price could i set?

    thanks again for any help!

As far as the watches are concerned I'd advise checking out a forum dedicated to wristwatch collecting, believe it or not there are many. I learned about the "wristy" community a week or two ago when I read an article about former Duke hoops standout J.J. Redick who's apparently a "wristy" himself.

    Thanks guys for the enthusiasm
Im now in the process of testing everything, got some 20 games and 8 controllers to check out.
So far 1 coleco standard controller going in the bin (jump buttons refuse to work).

I have contacted "House Of Watches" regarding the wristwatch, i dont think i will get a reply though
as the last update under "news" on their website was in 2009.
If i dont hear anything in a couple of days i'l post up pics and questions over at the "watchuseek.com forum"
I was hoping to give some additional info from the Danish company but
hopefully the watchuseekforum can at least give me an idea of the quality of the watch itself.

    cheers!

Sell it for parts. If the outer shell looks fine it can be used to restore a beat up controller.

Thanks Kitsune Sniper, didnt think of that.

every thing are tested now and a total of 4 controllers and 4 games didnt make it.
Looping, Venture, black jack/poker And Mr.Do

Three games are getting "Turn game off before inserting cartridge or expansion module."
And one gets a black screen after pressing #1 on the menu.

The four standard controllers got basicly the same fire/jump problem.
Maby i put this up for sale in a lot .

    ---------

Also Not much help from the watch forum though, this is probably something that speaks more to gamers.
I got some answers from the Danish company that helps a little even if their records of this watch are long gone:

"The movement is a VD54 from the Seiko factories"
"I would estimate a Danish retail price for something similar today
at DKK 1000.- to DKK 1500.-" (170$ - 250$) This is a value estimate based on the quality of the watch
not taking the rarity into account.

Hope I'm not too late, but just saw that you said all your colecovision controllers have the same jump/fire problem. If I read that right, then the problem is probably your colecovision console. There is a chip for each controller (player 1 and player 2) that can easily be damage by static, or ???. I think plugging/unplugging with power on can even do it, so it is a very common issue with the CV, and often results in just what you describe where the fire button doesn't do anything. Did you try the controllers in the Player 2 position? Check that out, I have a unit that works fine on player 2, but for #1 the fire button won't work.

edit: And last I checked those chips can be purchased and swapping them out isn't too hard, but I never found it to be worthwhile to me and haven't done it myself.

Thanks anyway, really appreciate the effort.

I have some kind of sellers-limit on ebay " You can sell up to 10 items or up to $500.00 per month"
so i have to wait a little while before i can list everything.

Well, both p1 and p2 could have fried chips, so it is pretty hard to know if it is the system or the controllers. Good luck!
