Default Computer Horseracing by Electronic Data Controls (EDC) Corporation

I recently received a "Computer Game" complete with the box, overlays, horse pieces, a sealed bag of gambling chips, "monopoly money", and a sealed bag of player pieces. Later, I found an auction on eBay selling it for $500! The vendor seems to be asking for way too much - so if anyone could give any recommendations, I would appreciate it.

    Here's the auction -

    i found this link : http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgamepu...on#linkeditems
who takes you to the games they made.

Looking at ebay some of these are listed with widely different prices.
    Here is a good example:

    computer baseball - 55.99$
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-COMP...-/300941331028

    computer baseball - 825.00$
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-COMPUTER...-/110602045332

Its always a chance that the horseracing game are more rare ofcourse,
it looks like it was one of the last they made...

I have something like the Computer Baseball games linked above...it's 5 sports in 1, though...last actual sold price I saw for it was a few years ago, at $25, IIRC. This being horse racing, I'd say it'd probably be in that range, maybe $30 on a good day. Side note: I do consider these a forerunner of sorts to home video games (almost as much as, say, the oscilloscope Pong or the Brown Box). As such, I do look for these when I'm out and about.

Wanted: Any and all Dragon Quest, Lufia/Estpolis, Tales of series, and NIS games, strategy guides, and miscellaneous items. Will pay $$$ or trade well for items I don't already have.

I posted the item on my auction page. If it doesn't sell at the given price, I'll be open to offers.

Wow, I've got one of those games by the same company, I believe mine's Football. Didn't know it was worth anything, just picked it up because it was a novelty.
