This week, we got not one, not two, but three peeks at how Valve and its digital distribution platform, Steam, plan to dominate the living room. Regardless of whether you believe SteamOS, Steam Machines, or the Steam Controller will do well, one thing is clear: this ain't your daddy's console war. With such a heavy focus on the PC market and a Linux-based operating system from Valve's end, an entertainment and television-focused Xbox One, and a gaming-centric PlayStation 4, it hardly seems appropriate to compare today's market to the old Nintendo vs. Sega days.

We get all range of ages visiting this site, so I'm curious: how do you see the console "wars" today? How would you compare them to the battles of yester-year? What do you think the next generation's fight will look like, or do you think there even will be a next generation? Think over your answers while perusing this week's selection of webcomics, why don't you?
