    Default 2014 Gaming Goals

So it's that time again. Another year past and another one upcoming. Did you meet your goals for 2013? I didn't, but I don't think I remember mine. Oh well.

What are your goals for 2014 in regards to gaming? For me, I've gathered a ridiculous backlog in the past 2 years and I think it's high time I stop buying and start playing all of these games I have. I want to get through at least 30% of my 360 library this upcoming year and maybe 10-20% of my ps3 library. Sounds somewhat reasonable.

    Your turn.

Same here. See my own thread for details if you didn't see it. Not just because I want to play my games but also because I want to make my life's savings in a year. The only way you can do that on almost 11 bucks an hour 300-400 hours a month is to not spend it.

I'm a collector, but only to a certain extent.
Not as extreme as Rickstilwell though.[/quote]

Ah this reminds me, I've been doing videos on youtube for the last three years about this very subject of collecting goals from the year past and what the ongoing goals are for the coming year.

I'll wait until closer to years end but thanks for reminding me

No specific goals. Buy games, play games.

Oh, is it like a New Year's Resolution?

-Hunt down more games in the wild.
-Finish my mountain of backlog games, starting with the SNES games.
    -Repeat step 1 and 2.

In terms of collecting i don't think i had one for most of 2013.Mostly i was jumping around buying&playing games for different consoles, when it came to deals.Retro it was either buying for the genesis&snes and even my neo-geo cmvs.Beside buying a game for the PS3 or PSP when i had the chance.Still i got plans to buy a Wii asap then maybe by next year a PS4.

Last year, I finished 37 games. This year I'm at 22. I'd like to get through 50 for 2014. Whittle down the collection to a lot less would be good.

My goal for 2014 is the same as the unaccomplished goal for 2013: Stop gaming .... and 2013 was quite strong in terms of hours played, Mass Effect was the main reason to keep playing on my ps3 because Mass Effect 1 was at last released on PS3 on Dec 2012 and I started 2013 playing through the trilogy all over !

This year I also re-discovered my retro consoles playing them on LCD with the help of a XRGB-3 and it was an absolute pleasure to finally get rid of 3 CRT TV and one RGB Monitor ... and my wife happy for all the free space that those huge CRT occupied. I only have a Sony FD Trinitron KV-25FV300 with component input for old glories but it hopefully will be gone in this month

So .. after writing this, I feel that I just cannot stop gaming so I hope to play the South Park RPG and to have my high expectations filled with that game. Dark Souls II and fingers crossed for an official announcement of a new Mass Effect or Fallout game.

    Keep on gaming !

Goal for 2014: to have fun.

In terms of specific games I want to play, top of the backlog is Dragonborn (the Skyrim dlc), closely followed by the entire Mass Effect trilogy.
