    Default Cartridge Slot Cleaner

Does anyone know what the material that is used in the SNES and N64 is that cleans the cart slot in the SNES and N64 is made of and where to buy it? Would like to buy and make my own inserts but can't find it. Tried the credit card thing but thought this would be better and easier. Thanks!

You talking about that black cartridge that they made for snes with the white "connector" on the bottom that opens up fit storage of the solution and the cart cleaning tool?

I'm talking about the actual white piece that fits inside the black case that goes into the cart slot to clean it. Trying to find what it's made of and if it's possible to buy the material to make my own. Thanks for the reply.

I've never seen an answer to that, but I know those really thin but durable cleaning rags you can use on screens and glasses are great grabbers of junk. I find you can wrap one of those around a thin card, wet it with 91% isopropyl alcohol and it'll clean it as nice as the original kit from Nintendo. I still have the kit for for nes/snes with spares, none for 64 but I'd go that route for myself if I needed to.

I'll pop my cleaning kit open when I get home to see. Have you thought about sending an email to Nintendo to ask them?

Guess it's worth a try. But something that old they respond with we don't support that system and no longer carry anything for it.

Tried emailing Nintendo to find out what the cleaning inserts were made of and they didn't know anything about them. Still looking.
