    Default Favorite 1970s game?

What is your favorite game released in the 1970s? (on or before Dec 31, 1979)? I'll count the Intellivision launch lineup since it was test marketed in fall 1979. Arcade, console, dedicated console, or even handheld (Microvision? Old Coleco, etc handhelds) are accepted.

Mine is Combat for Atari VCS, released September 11, 1977 along with the system.
Real collectors drive Hondas, Toyotas, Chevys, Fords, etc... not Rolls Royces.

Was going to say Missile Command until I looked it up and realized it came out in 1980.

With that out of the question, my favorite is probably Galaxian.

When it comes to a video arcade game, I'd pick Sea Wolf from 1976. Pretty innovative design for that one.

Otherwise, I'd have to pick something from the pinball realm. Flash (made by Williams in 1979) might be the one I like most from that decade.

Arcade I would say Breakout. Home I liked Gunslinger for the Atari 2600 as a two player game.

Asteroids. And a very close second would be Galaxian which is from 1979, it made Space Invaders seem very lame with the swooping attacks and more aggressive play.

Space Invaders, and specifically the Atari 2600 version. I didn't own a 2600 well until my adulthood, but my cousins did, and the few times I can remember playing Atari was spent playing this game. To this day I associate Atari with Space Invaders even though I know that it's actually a Taito game.

I'll discount Asteroids since it's so close to the cutoff, and instead say: Fire Truck! More than any other, that game piqued my interest in arcade games from the mid- to late-1970s.

Heh, my favorite '70's game is probably an '80's VCS game.

My favorite would be Asteroids, followed up by a close second with Sega's Monaco GP.

I'd have to go with Video Whizzball on the Channel F. Just try playing that game with two players and not get addicted!
If they made a movie out of your top five worst sins, what would it be rated?

Wow I forgot about Monaco GP, that was one decent little game with an interesting cabinet too.

SPACE WARS by Cinematronics, all the gravity controls. I played the huuuuge cabinet when it first came out at of all places a Circle K convenience store. Saw Pong when nit first came out, too boring for me.

My favorite 70s video game was probably the arcade version of Star Wars:The Arcade Game with the vector graphics.

Video Olympics/Pong Sports for the VCS. I actually prefer this to even Warlords when it comes to 4 player games.

As a kid I was impressed by Atari's arcade game Starship 1. I first saw it in 1977 in San Francisco. In it you tried to shoot space ships as they passed from side to side. One of the ships looked a heck of a lot like the Starship Enterprise!
