From Software's Project Beast gameplay footage appears online

Footage allegedly depicting Project Beast, a title that was rumored to be in production for PlayStation 4 by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Dark Souls developer From Software, has appeared online.
The footage in the four webm clips posted on
NeoGAF by user drotahorror, and compiled in the video above
by Vyktar, features a warrior venturing through a fantasy environment, battling against decrepit beings. The clip ends with the warrior approaching hulking, tentacled horror across a vast chamber. The environments, theme, animations and character designs are in the iconic artsyle featured in From Software's Dark Souls franchise.
From Software was recently acquired by Japanese media corporation and Killer is Dead publisher Kadokawa. The deal was announced in April and finalized last week where Kadokawa purchased 80 percent of From Software stock. The Dark Souls series developer will work alongside Kadokawa's internal development team to create games, new IP and focus on Western markets.
