I can. And I highly doubt I'm the only one.

At this point we know more about Thomasson's family situation than the actual contents of the auction.

This all really just confirms my theory that Digital Press is the 4chan of the retrogaming world. Seriously, the shit we do by far and away puts /vr/ to shame. It takes skill for a guy to doxx himself.

And I wouldn't have it any other way. Love youse guys.

Seriously dude, stop posting your private info in here. You are making yourself look so desparate right now. If I were in your shoes, I would not be throwing a pity party, "oh woe is me..."

I would break the collection up into lots based on system, and auction them "no reserve" on the Bay or the Gavel. Go ahead and mention that the game lot was part of the GWR, but by selling in lots, people interested in each system can bid on them. Do one auction per week, starting with the most popular system (like NES or such), and work your way down to the obscure stuff. It might take you six moths to sell it all off, but you'll get a big chunk of money in total for the game lots. Your current collection is too big and has too many holes in it, in other words, incomplete, to try and maximize your profit by selling in one lot. Selling per system will gather more money overall, because for every collector there is going to see items/systems in your collection that he/she has no interest in, and nobody's gonna pay extra for stuff they don't want.

i sold my Final Fantasy proto using game gavel for a bunch of reasons.
    cheaper fees,
    alternate pay methods,
less chance of BS ebay buyers, bidding BS.

Ebay gives the most exposure which is a good and very bad thing.

In fashion that only nerds on the internet can get to, we've gone so far down the damn rabbit hole that attacks, assumptions and knee jerk reactions and beating a dead horse into the ground are the menu items for the day.

WHY the collection was being sold is of no ones business. NONE of us here (even if you had the $$ in the bank) were going to pull the trigger on it.

Since hiding two pages back the OP decided to ask for this to be locked after we'd already gone past batshit, then changed the title to no success (hell, even I was wondering how a Sega Pico variant thread got to 10 pages) I can only do this in a late to the party fashion.

This thread is done. The attacks need to stop (all around). The people here are better than this. Civil discussions even when people aren't on the same page do not need to devolve into character attacks and rampant rage charges as if one is a level 4 Saiyan like Goku about to go to the death with Buu. It can be done and we should try it. If not, I'll be glad to show you the door.

Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.
