Default I may have ruined my Sanyo Monitor in my Donkey Kong Machine

Okay so I found a Nintendo cab on the side of the road that had a "custom" paint job. Decided to clean it up & restore it to look like a Donkey Kong cabinet & a mame machine. The monitor worked fine and I modded it just fine & everything was going well I was practically finished. But when I hooked up the new florescent light I decided I'd try and plug the monitor directly into the surge protector as apposed to where it was plugged into originally, which just happened to be the power supply. When I plugged it in The ground sparked and the monitor made a noise like it was going to come on and I pulled the plug. I tried it again because I thought that outlet just broke on me & I got the same thing. So then I reconnected the monitor to the power supply and hooked it up but when I turned the computer inside on the Monitor only displayed Blue. So any ideas how to fix this?

Those old monitors need to be run through the proper isolation transformer.
