Hi guys, I hope things are well.
I am looking for an older prison escape game I played as a kid on my PC. I think It was close to the DOS era however it had a better colour pallet then games like Eden Blues, so it would have been newer.
I have done some googling to no avail so I turn to the professionals.
This game actually came to my mind because of The Escapists(A cool little indie game on steam) release. It looks a lot like it, here is a video of how The Escapists looks:
The game I am thinking of looks much like this actually, it brings me to believe it was the main inspiration for The Escapists. The top down view, the prison contains library's, workout rooms, the rooms like the laundry and metal workshop in The Escapists have a "Contraband detector" so can't leave with metal sheets from the metal workshop or wood from the wood workshop. The game I am thinking of had metal detectors, at the entrances of some rooms instead of "Contraband detectors" so you could not pass through with metal polls or a "Shank". If I remember correctly the prisoners wore the old fashion striped black and white jump suits instead of the newer orange ones in The Escapist.
The main protagonist (if you could call him that) had thick black glasses. during the night time you could try and escape by digging tunnels in your cell also.
There is much more to the game I am sure but that's what I remember of it.
Let me know if you need more info.
Thanks,
Ben.
