    Default Making Amiga emulation easier

Could someone take me through a step by step process of creating a hard drive file in WinUAE, then transferring disk images to it? I'd be most grateful for the advice. I don't like having to constantly swap disk images to play games like Fightin' Spirit.

You can always just enable the 4 virtual floppy drives and mount each disk to a drive. Have you tried this?

That doesn't always work. Sometimes you'll be forced to swap discs regardless of the fact that those discs are already in the secondary drives.

Yeah, sometimes that is just how the games were written. Even with my real Amiga 500 and extra floppy some games would not utilize the extra drive. I think King Of Chicago was like this if I am remembering correctly...and those Cinemaware games were a bitch with disk swapping. You would end up wearing out the floppies before you even finished the game! Thank god for images!

BTW: If the images were not wriiten with hard drive installation capability (which the ones you are speaking of probably aren't) it will do you no good setting up a virtual HD within the emulation. I will be posting a little HD setup tutorial within WinUAE sometime soon anyway btw...just so you folks can check it out.
