Default Dreamcast VGA Adaptor Without "Vertical Barring" problem?

Does one exist? I bought the Retro-bit S-Video/VGA adaptor, and the vertical bars when in VGA mode are just horrendous, both on my PC monitor and Samsung CRT HDTV. Ugh.

I've never seen a Dreamcast VGA adapter with any kind of vertical bars problem, and I've owned two in my life. Don't have my Dreamcast anymore, or I'd tell you which one I used. Good luck!

Most of the stuff I have bought from Retrobit dies quickly it seems. The quality never feels up to par. I have a Naki branded VGA adapter from when the Dreamcast was new and it has worked great since 2000. I would get a replacement or refund if I were you.

I have been looking at those they are very nice. I am currently adding an IDE interface to my system so that has been eating in to my play time ATM.

Never had any barring problems with the orange translucent VGA BOX I've had for ~15 years. Made by "Madness Gameware" apparently, whoever they were.
